Last year, the vast majority of kids were Edsall recruits. In my opinion, the biggest failure from Edsall 2.0 was on the offensive side from recruiting to coaching. If you look at the 2018 to 2021 recruiting classes, Edsall brought in 16 offensive line recruits and only 7 are still on the roster. Only 1 QB recruited in the 2018 to 2021 recruiting classes is still on the roster. Having Guifre act as both the OL coach and OC caused the offense to collapse.The roster must have had some of Diaco's kids last year, but maybe not.
Totally agree that the transfer portal is now a must to address talent needs for a program like UCONN. I don't particularly like it, but that is certainly the reality.

Unfortunately, not playing the 2020 season didn't expose how the team was slipping and I think it delayed replacing Edsall by 1 year.
