I have liked Arkansas in the regionals and now they are destroying Stanford. Way to go Razorbacks!

-> Where things currently stand:

• Texas became the first team eliminated from Omaha after losing to rival Texas A&M 10-2.
• Oklahoma stayed unbeaten by defeating Notre Dame 6-2. The Irish now fall to the loser’s bracket, while OU won’t ply again until Wednesday, June 22.
• Auburn and Stanford play at 2 p.m. Monday in an elimination game.
• Ole Miss and Arkansas play at 7 p.m. in the winner’s bracket.

My Oklahoma State buddy who lives in Austin and follows Big 12 baseball thought Arkansas was the team to beat in the CWS. Prediction looking pretty good now.

I don’t know about that… I would much rather have seen the team that eliminated UConn from the post season make a deep run rather than go 0-2.

Yeah, "lost to the eventual champions" always sounds better than just "lost".

And neither game was a nail biter. I still think that tight zone made an impact where A Pete couldn’t get that borderline outside pitch called a strike and overcompensated with too many pitches that caught too much of plate..

Homefield advantage in the Super Regionals surely helped Stanford. End of the day, we didn't execute when we had our chances and that is why we didn't make Omaha.
