Michigan just got totally screwed. What is the point of replay if you don't overturn an incorrect call on the field. His fingers clearly went back which means he was tagged before his hand got to the bag. Ridiculous when the replay booth has no balls to overturn a bad call. This is why homefield matters. Home crowd influence perhaps.

And then to top it off the next guy should have been called out on strike 3, ump calls it a ball, then proceeds to hit a home run. Michigan got royally screwed today. Got to feel for them.

Texas State takes the 3-1 lead in the 9th.

Uh oh, 3-2 now after Stanford leads of the bottom of the 9th with a solo home run. Another home run makes it 3-3. THIS is what I was worried would happen to us!

Instead of getting a relatively even matchup, we now have to fly across the country to play the #2 team. So close to having the best possible scenario. But hey, they’re certainly beatable as seen this weekend.

An entertaining afternoon game between Texas and Eastern Carolina. At the moment 7-2 Pirates in the fifth. Eastern Carolina is tough at home. Very loud crowd sits beyond the outfield fences and they call themselves the jungle. I was there in 2019 when UConn played there and heard fans talking about punching UConn in the mouth.

ECU closing in on game 1 of the series with Texas.
Up 10 - 7 still batting bottom 8th.
Texas will have 3 outs left to make up at least 3 runs. ECU hoping not to bat in the 9th.
Nobody gave them much of a shot fwiw.

Edit: 2 more runs for ECU. 12 - 7
