Middleton is really good when he isn't playing hero ball. Unfortunately for the Bucks he plays a lot of hero ball.

Budenholzer is the worst playoff coach in NBA history. Not open for debate.

The Bucks would double their chances of winning a title if they fired Budenholzer tonight.

I can't believe this guy is actually getting paid to run an NBA team.

Bucks got punked on the boards down the stretch. Hawks got 3 offensive rebounds in the last 2 minutes and scored 5 points. Difference in the game.
Collins and Capela crushed the Bucks frontline.

Bucks weren't even crashing on offense. Tucker is standing in the corner on Holiday drives. What was he doing out there?

This game is representative of the talent gap between the Bucks and the Hawks, but Budenholzer is capable of closing that gap for Atlanta in any given game.

This 4th quarter is fugly.
That was a gross game. Playoff Paul choking again and the late game execution was just atrocious. Clippers don't foul Saric, the ball then goes off Payne with no review, and it's capped off by DeMarcus Cousins doing the most DeMarcus Cousins thing ever.

The DeMarcus Cousins missed free throw screw up was so obvious and predictable that it was only funny because it was obvious and predictable.

I was laughing even before he took the three throw.

Overall, a pretty good game that took forever to finish. My playoff game watching strategy: watch the first half live, record the second half and watch the next morning (avoid internet until the game is finished).

DVR timing fun facts (all times include whistles and commercial breaks:
  • Total game length, opening tip to end of 4th quarter: 2 hr, 39 minutes
  • First half: 54 minutes
  • Second half: 1 hr, 30 minutes
  • The last thirteen minutes of the game: 58 minutes, 36.4% of airtime
  • The last five minutes of the game: 36 minutes, 22.6% of airtime
  • The last 17.4 seconds of the game: 16 minutes, 10% of airtime.

Rates of actual real life seconds per seconds on the clock:
  • Total game: 3.3 actual seconds for every second of game play
  • First half: 2.25 seconds
  • Second half: 3.75 seconds
  • Last thirteen minutes of the game: 4.46 seconds
  • Last five minutes: 7.2 seconds
  • Last 17.4 seconds: 55.7 seconds.
In summary, the pace of place was nearly three times faster in the first half compared to the last five minutes of the game.

I will give Budenholzer credit for tonight. The Hawks came out scorching hot, and the Bucks missed a lot of very makeable shots tonight. This game had the feeling of an upset, and the Hawks had a few spots where they could have put the game away, and Budenholzer did a good job keeping the game close.

Middleton's 4th quarter was insane. The Hawks were playing great D on him, and he was still draining his shots.

Gallinari had a really good game for the Hawks, and I thought he got hosed by the refs a few times.

The Trae Young twisted ankle was obviously huge.

Bucks needed Middleton to get going in this series. He was out of his mind hot tonight. Will be big going forward, especially if Jrue makes a few more shots. Feel like the Bucks haven't had a game where all 3 stars brought their A-game offensively in a long time.

I am rooting hard for the Bucks. Learned last series that you can't count the Hawks out though. Unbelievably resilient team.

Well Tre Young didn’t have a tweaked ankle until now

Kris Dunn is bad at basketball… it’s amazing that he’s the same guy that played at Providence

Injuries. He's never been healthy, he was really good for the Bulls for like half a season a few years ago and then injuries again. When he was hitting jumpers for that period of time he was actually pretty damn good because having a steady jumper let him get to the rim for finishes or setting others up, he was a great defensive player back then.

And that is the series. I can't see Giannis coming back from that before next season.

Clippers look like a team that had to give everything to force game 6, they're running on fumes tonight
