We would probably really despise Duke too if they were any good any more...

Uh-oh. Tori Hyduke is the second GW player to enter the portal in a week (Kayla Mokwuah is the other). Hyduke is a pistol of a point guard from the Jersey Shore who redshirted and started the most games of any Colonial, ending up as their 2nd leading scorer. I thought she would've been a natural fit with both Coach Jen Rizzotti and transfer guard Sydney Zabrotta (from Louisville and Christ the King HS). Any idea what's happening in Foggy Bottom?

Dillon you know the only reason she just did that was to keep up with Dara M............;)

Wasn’t she originally going to MSU?

she committed right before Vic took the job and is now following him to Texas. Seems like a decent pickup for depth, don’t think this is some kind of game changer transfer. Always good to have depth. If Harris ends up at Texas like we expect, she should develop nicely!

.-.
It might have also helped Texas' chances with Ebo that Karisma Ortiz transferred from Penn State one year ago, and has been sitting out her sophomore season at Texas; so, that means they were both part of the 2018 PSU recruiting class.

She looks like a down-low power player, that's for sure.

I haven't watched much of Penn State over the last two years, but yes, everything that I saw from Ebo indicated that she is all down-low. Nowhere near the versatility or just overall athleticism of Collier.

In terms of body type and size she reminds me a bit of Erin DeGrate.

I'll have to watch some more clips of Ebo. What I saw in the above was someone with nice touch around the basket, and relatively quick feet; we need a post player who can make point-blank bunnies off the glass, as that has been a rarity the last few couple of seasons.

I didn't mean that as a swipe. I think Ebo is a great get, and she definitely fills a roster need. A big question now becomes whether she has to sit a year. Vic really needs her eligible this coming year if possible.

My understanding is Coach Schaefer had a difficult time this past season finding someone to do the little things like setting screens and such. It was also obvious MSU lacked physical size. Ebo was recruited to help with that. She was especially vital after P Taylor had to medically retire. I’ll be interested to see if Coach McCray-Penson has a similar opinion.

Jaden Owens is transferring from UCLA. Averaged 2.6 PPG.
She's from Texas.

Is that a sign that Destiny Slocum is UCLA-bound?

Could be, but Owens was also very unproductive. I know she was a freshman and they were losing Japreece Dean, but Charisma Osborne was far better than Owens.

she’s dating the middle Ball brother so I’m sure this decision wasn’t easy for her, I wonder if she will be looking to stay near California.

A really nice article about Kyra Lambert in the San Antonio paper.

She's a great kid who had a really rough go of it with the injuries.

I'd love to have her at South Carolina. I wonder if she is looking to start and play heavy minutes though. If not, it's a very good fit.

I'm assuming he is a pro basketball player (or on the verge); so, chances are he would be leaving the LA area at any time for his playing career, especially if he needs to go overseas.

He doesn’t have the talent that his older and younger brother have so he may have an overseas career, but he’s not in the NBA

She averaged 30 mins in the last 21 games that she started after the Duke staff stopped managing her minutes. So on top of not starting, using Destanni’s last season numbers, she would be averaging about 6 minutes less court time. I’m not sure if that would be an attractive situation for Kyra. Otherwise she would be a very good replacement in the role Destanni played last season.

Carrington, Lambert, and Slocum are all grad transfers, right? I’m sure one will end up at Baylor and they could all be looking to see who signs first so they could make a move. Idk, I’m just guessing again lol

Arizona is giving some of these “known for adding transfers” schools a run for their money. She’s had lots of success.
Lots of transfers (mostly in). Likewise, lots of "foreign" players. And it seems to be working. By having success, you will, of course, become more attractive to high school players.

The only odd thing about it all, we got a too many players on the court penalty this past season, that came about because - as you might guess - communication issues between 2 players for whom English is a 2nd language, and who did not share the same "first".
