I thought I read somewhere that he was joining the team after the holiday break. Maybe UConn blog?? I’ll have to look. I don’t think it’s related to the injury.

Now that you mention it - I do remember them saying they were bringing him in after the holidays so he could get acclimated to the team. I guess I just keyed in on the "depth" comment.

Thanks Bomber for linking it. I don’t know how to do that.
I thought it was odd he was being added at this time too.

Tverberg, shoots right. May many of his shots land in the net.

May Ryan and us all enjoy a much better 2021 than the current cluster phucked year.
With you on that!

I believe this suspension is attributable to the hit on Karashik.
In future games, PC’s frosh Nick the fish Poisson may be a target of some kindly attention.

The way our penalty kill gives up goals, it would be a good idea for us to forgive and forget.

Up to 3 more seasons for the frosh, the Fish may well receive some heartwarming attention. Not ST focused.

I forget where we are with this. Is there an automatic 2 week pause or is there isolation and further testing for 3-5 days?

Dan Connolly @ UConnBlog

“UConn’s two basketball programs also dealt with mid-season shutdowns. The women’s basketball team hit the pause button for 10 days after a non-player or coach tested positive while men’s basketball shut down twice. The second time, it was allowed to resume practice in a modified quarantine just one week after positive tests forced it to shut down.

The length of the men’s hockey team’s shutdown will likely depend on how many players and staff members test positive or are forced to quarantine due to additional testing and contact tracing.”

Please forgive my ignorance, but considering HE is only playing HE how can PC be ranked 18 and UConn only receiving 2 votes with basically identical records.
Welcome to college hockey. If we win the national championship we’ll probably get into the Top 10, but some people won’t vote for us because we haven’t been around long enough. Of course the good news is if we win the national championship and then lose every game next year, some people will vote us into the top 25 because...

That explains Denver with a losing record.

Pedigree.

Considering two of PC's five wins were against bottom feeders Maine and Vermont, whom we haven't played (and aren't scheduled to), it rankles.............................but until we have an established pedigree we won't get that kind of benefit of the doubt.

Take 4+ points of UML this weekend, and we'll move up the ladder.
