wow..some impressive skills from both teams...good to see that PB had to earn her points against good competition...

Admittedly our opinions vary, but I saw a lot of matador defense.

not sure how much high school basketball you are watching these days.............I can tell you that the quality of play in those highlights was well above average based on my recent experience...................check out some of Sam Brunelle's videos to see the difference..............

I’ll defer to your expertise here. But I saw what I saw. If that’s the new normal, then so be it.

I was really talking about the over all skill level of the two teams.............kind of rare to see shut down defense in most high school play..................

Got it. Yes, I saw some kids making some pretty good plays on both sides. I watch a ton of (very good) JuCo ball, and bad defense gets that player seated, pronto. Most two-year teams play horrendous defense.

when you think about it, most four-year college teams play bad defense............

Paige Bueckers: 18 points (8-8 FG, 2-2 3-Pt), 8 assists, 5 rebounds, 3 steals

Bueckers did all that in about 15 minutes.

If you're not watching her games when they're on you're missing out.

it's just too depressing....................two more years of high school ball for this kid................athletically she's just about ready for college ball right now............

No need to rush fine wine. Enjoy childhood as long as possible.

I agree but from a simply basketball perspective it's kind of like watching a great young violinist playing with the school band instead of the NY Philharmonic

Azzi Fudd already receiving the star treatment from opponents as was in evidence Sunday.

But dynamic freshman guard Azzi Fudd was silenced early, scoring no points in the first quarter as she faced double-teams on every touch.

....

Fudd eventually fought through the double-teams and finished with 15 points. But it was as quiet as a 15-point performance can be, save for a sidestepping, fast-break and-one she had in the third quarter that brought much of the home crowd to its feet.
