Actually, Walker was on the bench - just not available to play, due to her recovering from the flu.

Yup I know that. I was trying to say Geno only trusts walker beyond the starting 6. I'm not sure that's a very good sign.

A complete ACL rupture and damage to the collateral. Poor kid. I wonder if Geno et al are being supportive as they were for Gabby?

I wish her well. Now can we talk about baby Bruney? Need her to stretch the floor and bang the three. There's a girl that plays for us now that's pretty good at that.

At this point, with 20 + point lead with anything more than 8 minutes left, he doesn't use 2 of the sophs and only one of the frosh. Not a great sign at all. The team will still crush most opponents this year and if healthy, winning the NC is certainly obtainable. Beyond this year, some of the little used need to show something or else an awful lot will be asked of the newbies, Coombs was an McD AA and Gordon and AEH played in all-star games too. I hope more of the bench shows enough for GA to trust them in more than the last 3 minutes of routs.

Well said. Clearly we agree.

Tommy Lasorda used to say,"There are three types of ballplayers, those that make things happen, those that watch what happens, and those that wonder what happened," Of the freshmen, one is right on the precipice of making things happen and the other three are watching for now,but come mid-march all of the freshmen will have had moments where they will have made things happen. The finals are behind them, they will have had a Christmas break, and they won't feel as much like a complete newbie going into the second semester. The schedule won't be as demanding in the near future, for the most part anyway, and a lot more time will be allocated to our players of the future.

Last day of action at the Nike TOC.

Azzi Fudd helped St John's high win their final game with 16 points.

Archbishop Mitty wins the Nike TOC thanks to a late game explosion from Haley Jones. She finished with 22 points and 10 rebounds, scoring 12 of her team's last 14.

Can we have them both?

Ortiz is committed to Penn St., she is a big time pickup for them and a very underrated player. Jones on the other hand clearly has cemented her status as a top 3 recruit in 2019. IMO she might be the most complete player in the class.

Here in NYC the rats are bigger than most kitties.

Yikes!

Rocky posted a picture of a mountain lion this summer. I think a cougar could probably handle a NYC rat, but I won't place any bets on that.
