There are very few players who posess the size and skill set to play and excel at every position on the floor. That’s not to say that Archbishop Mitty’s junior Haley Jones doesn’t have spots where she’s more effective than others but she’s not going to let you down at any of them. The words “fluidity” should have her picture beside it in the dictionary. With the ball in her hands she can create both shots and passes while making it look almost easy. Off the drive her eyes are up and she sees the floor as well as the rim allowing her to exploit overzealous defenders. The 6-1 Jones is handling contact off the drive more efficiently with the ability pull up or take it all the way. She’s patient in her play and like true elite players show improvements in her game virtually each time out. – Mark Lewis

That’ll be a good battle. Future Notre Dame (I’m calling Marshall to ND now) vs. UConn post matchup.

Marshall will have her hands full then because I'm calling Brink and DeBerry to UCONN in consecutive years.

If Brink and DeBerry goes to UCONN that'll be a team full of trees along with ONO and possibly Boston. Perhaps UCONNs tallest team ever?

2018 - Nelson-Ododa
2019 - Brunelle, Amihere, Boston (according to a few other posters)
2020 - Brink
2021 - DeBerry

:( That’s enough trees for a FOREST! Oh my.. will there be any post players for the rest of us?

Auriemma Girls

(Sung to the tune of California Girls)

The West Coast has some ballers and the girls grow blonde and tall

I’ll take Van Lith and Brink before an eye can blink

And have them at UConn next fall.

(Chorus)

I wish they all could be Auriemma,

I wish they all could be Auriemma,

I wish they all could be Auriemma, girls.

Virginia gals can shoot, I really like Fudd and Brunelle

Let’s pack ‘em off to Storrs, and see then run the floor

I’m pretty sure those two will gel.

(Chorus)

I wish they all could be Auriemma,

I wish they all could be Auriemma,

I wish they all could be Auriemma, girls.

The Midwest boasts some prospects, we’ll need one to run the show

I like that kid named Paige, she’s quite the Bone Yard rage

She’ll make the offense hum and go.

(Chorus)

I wish they all could be Auriemma,

I wish they all could be Auriemma,

I wish they all could be Auriemma, girls.

East coast girls are tough and they can really clean the glass

Kylee and Aliyah, I hope we get to see ya

In a Huskies recruiting class.

(Chorus)

I wish they all could be Auriemma,

I wish they all could be Auriemma,

I wish they all could be Auriemma, girls.

Hey Ruth Hamblin majored in engineering at Oregon State, Hailey should ask her about the quality of the program.

Anyone know what's wrong with gabby?
Poor play last night, but the kid was always tough as nails. She seemed shaken and near tears on bench? Was she suffering from migraines again? Thank god for Z! I find it fascinating Geno only trusts walker even when up 10-20 points. Not a great sign entering January IMHO.
Walker wasn't with the team - in the UConn vs Oklahoma game.

Actually, Walker was on the bench - just not available to play, due to her recovering from the flu.
