2019/20 UConn Recruiting

Ortiz is committed to Penn St., she is a big time pickup for them and a very underrated player. Jones on the other hand clearly has cemented her status as a top 3 recruit in 2019. IMO she might be the most complete player in the class.

Some folks on twitter are saying this is a recruiting violation against UCONN. True?? Is Nurse allowed to be quoted talking about Amihere?? Not sure.
False.
There is nothing wrong with what Kia said, and there is absolutely no connection in what Kia siad to UCONN.

Probably Vols. They love to tweet lol.

just Raul asking the question I suppose based on the newspaper story about Amihere............Nurse is asked about the fact that Amihere can dunk and she says something about how that's great for the women's game...........not a comment referencing recruitment so it seems harmless to me ..........especially since I've seen current players on other teams have actual twitter conversations with known recruits

I think Geno reads the BY. Got a bunch of the kids in earlier yesterday than he’s been doing. Maybe he’ll become a really great coach some day if he keeps paying attention to such great advice.

Two heads are better than one. 300 heads are better than that. There a lot of posters here that know what they're talking about. All Geno has to do is figure out who they are and inquire further.

Sam Brunelle, Paige Bueckers, Cameron Brink, and Hailey Van Lith all play tournaments later this week.

Snippet from a preview of Brunelle's:

1. Samantha Brunelle, William Monroe — The No. 1 player in the 2019 class, according to ESPNW, Brunelle already has two 30-plus point efforts this season. The junior put up 27 points in Friday’s win over Fluvanna County. She’s averaged more than 25 points and 10 rebounds a game in each of the past two seasons.

Holiday Hoops Classic: Five girls players to watch

Nicole Melious ('23) went 9-11 from three on her way to 35 points in the title game of the Garden State Santa Slam.

Though Worcester Academy subscribes to the total team deal when it hits the hardwood, all discussions about its success have to start with 6-foot-4 junior center Aliyah Boston, the Massachusetts Gatorade Player of the Year.

Some of Boston’s early-season accomplishments bear repeating. During a two-game stretch several weeks back, Boston totaled 57 points, 30 rebounds and 21 blocks. In a Nickerson Classic semifinal, Boston, who hit a game-winning 3-pointer in a first-round contest, pumped in 33 points and eclipsed the 1,000-point mark in career scoring. Boston followed that up with 28 points and 19 rebounds in the tournament final, earning MVP honors.

Numbers and accolades aside, Boston, a captain who averages a double-double, has evolved at a rapid clip at both ends of the court. She captured Player of the Year honors after not even being an all-star as a freshman.

“Really, there’s not much that she doesn’t bring to the table. Aliyah is a leader, a quality person, quite humble, thoughtful and a wonderful teammate,” Levin said. “She has an incredible skill level. Aliyah has natural gifts and is tops in the country. She’s also coachable and has a wonderful basketball IQ.”

Craig Holt: Worcester Academy's success not just because of Aliyah Boston (but she's really good)

Yup I know that. I was trying to say Geno only trusts walker beyond the starting 6. I'm not sure that's a very good sign.
I think there's another interpretation. Geno historically only wants to give the first 6 or 7 maximum playing time so that they really mesh with each other in game situations. Having 6 plus Meg is a pretty predictable expression of Geno-ball.

come on, every top recruit is a UConn lean.......ESPN sends subliminal messages through the digital airwaves during all of their WBB games......I've taped the games and when you slow them down to half speed you can hear very softly "come to UConn, learn to play better then Maya Moore, win championships....eat great meat balls"...couldn't quite make out the rest...
Sounded to me like "the snow's not that bad."

I think your dead on
