Brink is very thin, and all arms and legs. On the high school level, it's almost impossible for her opponent to get a shot over her.

Full Court Press? or it's the only time UConn staff will be in CA before the class of 2019 will sign.

The only time? Geno and/or CD flew to California several times to watch Lou play. Geno flew to California to watch Jones practice in September and I suspect he'll be back to visit/watch her play before November 2018.

Exactly. If the mutual interest continues, I would not be surprised if Coach Auriemma/CD made at least 2-3 trips out to California before next year's signing date.

I wonder since UConn offered Bueckers class of 2020 does that mean they are backing off Zia Cooke( 2019). As of last reports over the summer, UConn had not offered Cooke, though she had offers from the rest of what she claimed was her top 5...SC, OSU, MD, TN, along with UConn. They are obviously 100% sold on Bueckers with the early offer. Geno doesn't typically sign elite PG's back to back and since he offered Bueckers early, he likely think she's a superior talent than Cooke.

All but a handful of the top 20 in 2018 signed way before the fall signing. Spring signing starts April 11th, UConn will likely have just finished the season. This was very likely the last time UConn could see her before she could potentially sign somewhere in the spring. Depending on her to be the handful that won't sign early so you they can have "2-3 trips" is dubious.

April 11 begins the late signing period for 2018 recruits. The early signing period for 2019 recruits will be next November.

Again, only 3 of the top 20 actually was not "committed" by the fall signing. It's essentially all over by late spring and thru May b/c almost everyone verbally commits and the only high profile person to change their verbal was Collier. April/May has become the time for a lot of people to commit verbally. 2 of the top 10 in 2019 are already committed and 5 of the top 20 including Puisis and People's, both which UConn showed interest in.

I responded to your post about the April 2018 signing period to point out that it's irrelevant to 2019 kids. Now you're talking about verbal commitments in the Spring. Maybe Jones will commit early, maybe she won't. Maybe Geno will make another trip to California to visit/watch her, maybe he won't. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

The bolded statement is not correct there were at least 3 top 20 Kids in the 2018 class to changed thier committment well after Spring.

I think you're confusing signing a NLI with verbal commits.

Nope, know the difference. been involved with it. Kids are committing earlier and earlier, almost all have committed by May of their jr year. Fall NLI is becoming less and less "dramatic" as there are truly few kids with unknown intentions by the fall. This year there was like 3 of the top 20 that actually had the "dramatic" fall NLI reveal.
