@huskymedic is there a formal list of spring game visitors for Friday? Not sure how the game being on Friday night would impact the amount of prospects able to make it but would love for a lot of the Cheshire Academy and in-state guys to make it

I haven't seen any formal lists for the 21st (week after this). A bunch of schools are on spring break the next few weeks so I'm not sure whether a Friday night game would be prohibitive.

From a "non-linkable" article on Knights247:

>>Three-star dual-threat quarterback Re-al Mitchell (Bellflower, CA/St. John Bosco) has 16 offers, but the UCF offers meant a little bit extra for the California quarterback. “Well the offer means a lot in general,” said Mitchell. “But also because it came from Scott Frost. I went to an Oregon camp about three years ago and was able to chat it up with coach Frost so I’ve known about his style of offense for a while.”<<

>>The California quarterback tells Knights247 that UCF, Iowa State, Connecticut and South Carolina are schools that are sticking out to him early on.<<

Mitchell is rated as a three-star prospect by 247Sports Composite and is ranked as the 28th dual-threat quarterback in the 2018 class.

>>“I’m making a trip out east very soon to visit both Rutgers and UConn,” Mitchell told Storrs Central. “I talk to coaches Corey Edall and Coach Lashlee the most. They’ve been telling me that I’m a perfect fit for their program and could help get them where they want to be.”<<

>>“One of the main selling pitches to me from UConn is that they have the #1 Kinesiology program in the country. My education is pretty important to me. They’re also trying to rebuild the program and believe I can help lead the way in that process. I talk pretty frequently with their staff and I’m just looking forward to getting out there and seeing everything for myself first hand,” stated Mitchell.<<

Nihym Anderson is a 6-2 227lb LB from Vineland Senior High School South in Vineland, New Jersey. Other offers from Minnesota, Pitt, Rutgers, Syracuse, Temple, Toledo and BC.

Nihym Anderson committed to Maryland today.

UConn just getting him on campus for a face:face visit w/ Lashlee/Edsall and to see the facilities in person in the next few weeks is a partial win...

Excited to announce that I've been offered a scholarship to the University of Illinois!! #GloryToGod
Absolutely. Getting him on campus is a big deal. I rewatched his tape and I really like what I see. Has the same ability to turn up field with blazing speed as Pindell.

From a 247 site article today:
>>Mitchell, who is regarded as one of the top quarterbacks in California, told CycloneAlert he will visit Rutgers on Friday and UCONN on Saturday in an effort to advance toward a decision. Mitchell had previously said he would take dual trips during his spring break to the latter two schools or South Carolina and North Carolina.<<

>>Mitchell said Nebraska is showing increased interest and is trying to visit him as soon as possible before May 1. The Cyclones, meanwhile will visit Mitchell on April 27<<

He has said previously he will commit on 5/1.

Fingers crossed.
If this kids comes here, then without a doubt we have the deepest set of QBs ever assembled for UConn which is stunning. And, the QB position could be the strongest unit with the most depth by 2019. Unbelievable.

Side note - with Bloom and Myers as seniors, that TE position is ripe for Rose to be a receiving terror and Fitton to be blocking guy in 2018.

update on Shocky Jacques-Louis #55 on the list above: 1-on-1 with 2018 Dunbar WR Shocky Jacques-Louis - Prep Sports Scouting

He lines up everywhere on the Tigers offense calling himself a playmaker. But it is at wide receiver where he plays mostly and where colleges are looking at him at.

Jacques-Louis currently has 16 offers which include the likes of Kentucky, Georgia, Maryland, South Carolina, Syracuse, North Carolina and Minnesota.

He says Kentucky is showing him the most interest on a weekly basis and that the Wildcats are on the top of his list right now.

No mention of UConn in the article but its also the writer listing most of the schools and not him
