Not happy - our seats (4) from last year were already gone so got booted back 5 rows in same section. Absolute BS.
Ridiculous.

I've contacted our ticket rep about it - I should have stuck with my original gut instinct and not agreed to pick our tickets this year, should have just stayed with where we were. At the very least, they should give the option of your old seats being reserved in case you can't find something worthwhile.
Y'know, it might just be one of those things. We had our same two seats for 5 years. I'm pretty sure that we had more many points than were needed for the pair. All of a sudden we get bumped one year. During the season, my buddy went up to them and gently asked why they chose those seats. They said they wanted to sit in the same seats they had for the women's games (and had a ton of points). Not happy - our seats (4) from last year were already gone so got booted back 5 rows in same section. I can't believe the great mass of ticket buyers are getting hosed. The seats I was thrilled to get last year were available when it was my turn. So was pretty much the entire section. I made no big bump in donation, I do get FB tickets.
give more money! How do you get more priority points?
Hasn't it been like that for years?Just got off a chat with customer service - was told the entire building (XL, not sure about Gampel) is reset every year.

In the xl, I moved from section 101, down low, to 102 down low. an upgrade. GP even better. I moved from 221 row A mid court, no seatback, to 209 row 2, mid court, with a seatback. Am very happy!Personally, I got great seats, even better than last year. I appreciate that. I feel for those who didn’t.
The availability of seats when the selection process opened has NOTHING to do with the new point system.
The school administrators, students and business sponsors are responsible for the seats that were unavailable at season ticket tip off time. To a lesser extent families and friends of players and recruits are factors too. Group sales may also play some role.
Please keep in mind the end zone bar removed lower level XL seats, I believe around 500. Would have made more sense to do that in the lower upper level.
Once the process started the number of seats a season ticket holder can order in the lower bowl is up the last couple years. For example, some can now order 6 seats were before they could order 4. So this means less seat selection for the folks behind them.
Yes lol
Maybe it has, just never have lost our seats before this pick-your-own business.
did you donate more than usual recently? In the xl, I moved from section 101, down low, to 102 down low. an upgrade. GP even better. I moved from 221 row A mid court, no seatback, to 209 row 2, mid court, with a seatback. Am very happy!

That's what I believe - maybe I'm wrong. We just haven't gotten bumped before that I remember. I had reservations about doing the pick-your-own, should have stuck with my gut on that. But you wouldn’t have lost them if you just renewed and didn’t relinquish them - right?
There has never been an option to keep your seats. Back before they did select your seats you could write comments on the ticket form to keep your seats but that wasn't a guarantee. That's what I believe - maybe I'm wrong. Same with me. I donated more, more points and have an earlier pick time. Is the student section moved maybe taking up more seats?I have not picked yet, I go on Tuesday, but from the looks of it I will have worse seats. I have a bunch more priority points and am picking earlier than last year, on top of buying more tickets this year. Something does not seem right.
Is the student section moved maybe taking up more seats?
That will never happen unless they build a new arena or make Gampel all chairback.AD Dave talked about moving the students to the sideline two years ago but I haven't seen any discussion on it since
They will call you up for the donation and seat right. Is courtisde an option if it’s green or must there be a 5,000 dollar donation plus the price of seat?
Added the 15% to the donation. which UCONN asked for on the donation renewal form. so the answer is Yes. It is getting pricy.did you donate more than usual recently?
Man that’s rough, lower prices if no one is buyingFor those interested the seats that were left over are now up. Lots of unsold seats.
