Tim Cate is rolling. Gets USF out in order in the 5th, with another 2 strikeouts. 7 strikeouts through 5 innings.

Holding on for this victory is huge. You would think that both Memphis or USF wouldn't have much left Saturday, especially if they did win one and had to play two.

3 more runs in the 6th inning makes it 7-1 UConn. I have this odd fantasy that Ruotolo won't have to pitch tonight.
 
There is no 2 seed that would hypothetically want to play us roght now. I am a Rice ran and UConn would thoroughly embarrass them playing like this.

This is the first time I've seen him pitch. He gets ahead in the count and throws that filth at you, forget it. Swing and look silly, watch and just shake your head.
 
Rough base running that inning. Need to get Susi's bat going.
 
Tim Cate still in for the 8th inning. Great starting pitching is keeping the relievers in the bullpen.
 
1 out double in the 8th, and Cate comes out of the game. Domnarski comes in to pitch.
 
Poulin has pitched well lately, but not tonight. After two walks, Poulin gets the hook in favor of Polonia.
