This is one that I just don't get. I know he committed when GDL was OL coach, but he has known about Foley being the OL coach for about 9 weeks or more. And Foley is the only guy staying. So why back out now? For Temple??

Oh well....next!...

While he certainly could have made a connection with the Temple coaching staff one must consider grades as a possible reason. Just a tad easier to get into Temple. ;)

Well, Foley was his primary recruiter @ UConn so it's either a transcript issue or he's impressed with Matt Rhule being a former NFL O-Line coach for a year.

Britton never enrolled in either FUMA or MA as tossed about but sounds like he may still be in play for January enroll? Has been quiet on Twitter but always retweets UConn stuff.

From a Jim Fuller retweet:

“@thebullp_n: Former Cougar Chris Britton on hand for today's game. Leaves for UConn in January on football ride. Now up to a robust 235 pounds.”

6-3 OLB from Harrisburg PA.

Hell Of A Find Medic. That Kids Tape Was Impressive. Raw But Looks The Part Of An Elite Athlete For This Level.

Britton looks like a very exciting player. He really has good instincts anticipating the play and finding the ball. Looks like a great get for OLB.

Plays some tight end, looks comfortable playing out of a two point stance for such a tall kid, and tackled decent in space for a big kid. For this late in the game looks like an intriguing kid.

I wonder who made the offer, Diaco or Foley? Another tough call if DE/OLB or TE is his best fit. Seems like a difference maker in all three positions.

Medic. I'm not sure if you responded to an earlier question or not but is it confirmed that Luke is winning all of these honors after only having 4 catches?

You're reading that same stuff I'm reading... Stronger stats on defensive side of the ball but the writers and coaches who vote on these awards must see something - all seems pretty consistent. Not sure the type of offense his HS team ran but the Jr. RB D'Andre Pollard seems to have been the focus (29oo+ yds rushing and 39 TDs this yr). They only threw for 860 yds for the season. Leading WR had 33 catches, next WR had 12, next dude had 6, then 4 for LC.

Writers & coaches feel they must put this kid on the all-state team so they have to put him somewhere.
In CT, it happens all the time. They'll put some QB on as a punter or utility player.
last year in CT they had 4 QB's and only 4 OL!

Sometimes we forget that TE's are supposed to block. My guess is he was an amazing blocker, with a run first offense, and his ability to seal off the end was enough to get him the votes.
