It will be fun to play against him when UCONN is in the B1G in a few years. He will be an interesting case study of what things were like under Pasqualoni, who brilliantly grey shirted the kid when there were scholarships available.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't All State in PA (especially in AAAA) a big deal? He's solid with us, yes?

Yes and yes..

From a JB TOS interview:

>>"I don't know much about Coach Diaco, but he did a great job at Notre Dame," said Carrezola. "They had a great defense and I am very excited to have him as a head coach. I believe in UConn's AD and that he would hire a coach that he believes can change this football program for the better."<<

So let me get this straight. We are getting arguably the best tight end in the state of PA? (Class AAAA ain't no small school) These are writers who voted so I gather this is a state wide first team all state TE...that's coming to little ole UConn?

And Rivals still has him listed as a 2*.......................

UConn commits earn all-conference honors

  • [ ]Luke Carrezola of Neshaminy High earned Surburban One League National Conference first-team honors on offense as a tight end and defensive as a defensive end.

UConn commits up for Mr. Pennsylvania Football honor

>>UConn commits Alec Bloom and Luke Carrezola are candidates for the Mr. Pennsylvania Football award.

Bloom, a tight end who 45 catches for 830 yards and12 touchdowns in eight games at Ligionier Valley as a senior, is in contention for the Class A/AA honor while Carrezola, who had 20 tackles for loss, eight sacks and caught four passes as a senior defensive end/tight end for Neshaminy, is a candidate in the Class AAA/AAAA divisions. <<

Luke made AAAA All-State as a TE with four catches?

I'm just going to go right ahead and throw it out there.

That if there were some way to get the olive branches out and heal the relationship between some highly frequented sports enthusiast websites like say the Boneyard and the other sites......rivals? Scout?

It would probably be a lot easier, if websites like scout, rivals, etc......simply just awarded the stars they feel are deserving (whatever that means) rather than have to always try to explain really kind of abstract reasons as to why and how these subjective evaluations by such websites seem to always tend to be a bit lower for UCONN recruits than other schools....especially in situations when the rating clearly seems a bit off from the player, or vice versa.

Just sayin

Might be nothing - never mind.

Former #UConn commit Chasz Wright headed to Temple according to Milford Academy coach http://Post original url/1i7ARhs

This is one that I just don't get. I know he committed when GDL was OL coach, but he has known about Foley being the OL coach for about 9 weeks or more. And Foley is the only guy staying. So why back out now? For Temple??

Oh well....next!...

While he certainly could have made a connection with the Temple coaching staff one must consider grades as a possible reason. Just a tad easier to get into Temple. ;)

Well, Foley was his primary recruiter @ UConn so it's either a transcript issue or he's impressed with Matt Rhule being a former NFL O-Line coach for a year.

Britton never enrolled in either FUMA or MA as tossed about but sounds like he may still be in play for January enroll? Has been quiet on Twitter but always retweets UConn stuff.

From a Jim Fuller retweet:

“@thebullp_n: Former Cougar Chris Britton on hand for today's game. Leaves for UConn in January on football ride. Now up to a robust 235 pounds.”

6-3 OLB from Harrisburg PA.

Hell Of A Find Medic. That Kids Tape Was Impressive. Raw But Looks The Part Of An Elite Athlete For This Level.

Britton looks like a very exciting player. He really has good instincts anticipating the play and finding the ball. Looks like a great get for OLB.
