Bottom 2nd, the leadoff hitter for Butler reaches base on an error by Padilla, Gallagher then retires the side. 4-1 UConn. Gallagher with 2 strikeouts on the game so far and he is at 30 pitches.

Top 3rd, Casey Dana with a leadoff solo homer, 5-1 UConn. He's doing quite nicely with the stitches in his arm.

Top 3rd, no outs, Donlan with an rbi single to make it 6-1 UConn with no outs, 2 runners on base. Ferrer walks to load the bases with no outs. Pitching change for Butler.

It was never on Butler’s schedule/game notes - just Friday/Sunday.

I'm thinking it may be more of a decision with Butler athletics. It seems the home schools are the ones that actually produce the broadcasts, including providing announcers. FloSports just seems to pick up the games to stream.

Top 3rd, Simmons walks to bring in a run, 7-1 UConn, no outs. Padilla follows with a sac fly, 8-1 Huskies. Stock with a 2 out out rbi single to make it 9-1.

Good defense by Butler that inning to stop the damage from being even worse. The offense has woken up.

I know that’s the case, but it’s pretty weak of Butler.

If UConn keeps this big lead, it should be interesting to see who comes out of the bullpen in the late innings of this game for the Huskies. Always like to see the lesser used pitchers get a chance to show something, hopefully something good.

Top 5th, with 1 out, a sac fly for Bushling, 12-1 UConn with a runner (Casey Dana, who had doubled) at 3B. Huber follows with a 2 out 2 run homer, 14-1 UConn.

Safe to say the UConn offense is back, at least for this game. Who knows what will happen tomorrow or next weekend.

Ryan Hyde in to catch in the bottom of the 5th, giving Donlan the rest of the day off. Chris Jones saying Donlan has caught 16 straight games. Gives Hyde probably a couple chances to make some noise at the plate on offense.

Bottom 5th, after a 1 out double and wild pitch, an rbi ground out brings in a run for Butler to make the score 14-2.

Bottom 6th, Gallagher with a scoreless inning. 6 strikeouts on the day for Gallagher, he is at 85 pitches. 14-2 UConn.

Top 7th, Casey Dana with a 2 out single, his 4th hit of the game. 14-2 UConn going to the bottom of the 7th.

Bottom 7th, a 1 out 3 run homer for Butler. 14-5 UConn. Gallagher coming out, Jimmy Wang coming into the game to pitch. Wang definitely qualifies as a seldom used pitcher this season.

Wang gets 2 fly outs to end the inning. He threw 5 pitches.
