    Take The Freaking Points.

Oh my god. Can someone please do the math and figure out how many points Diaco has decided to avoid? This is reaching George W. levels of "Strategery".

    220 overall. wow.

Now THAT was the best game by a UConn QB since DanO!!

Very impressive. Looks like a guy who knew exactly what the defense was doing all day. Literally nothing negative to say about it.

    Smallwood Kung

Anyone have a clip of Smallwood kicking the ball out of the QB's hand? One of the coolest things I have ever seen. That better end up in his NFL scouting highlights.

    Marcus Easley and Nick Williams

Pardon if this is redundant, but i hadn't seen it mentioned. So we know Easley has been returning kicks for Buffalo, but did anyone notice he had his first 2 catches against Pittsburgh in week 10. 2 catches for 13 yards. I dug a little further and realized he has become something of the Bills...

    NFLer John Moffitt walks away

He's a CT kid, isn't he? Went to Wisconsin. I'd guess this is going to be a more common occurrence as there is more and more info about the risks of an NFL career...

    The Truth

If you are a UConn fan and you do not want to hug each player on this team (especially Whitmer) and tell them this (the last 3 years) is not their fault, you are a human being.

"Uconn in the NFL - Week 1

Sherman, KC -Looks like Alex Smith likes Sherman. He is the Chiefs leading receiver: 4 catches for 44yds. Todman, Jacksonville -Wow this team is bad. Todman had 1 rush for 2 yds and 3 catches for 20 yds. Gratz, Jacksonville -Started and had 3 tackles Easley, Buffalo -Lost a heartbreaker...

    UConn in the NFL

I know we like to keep track of our guys in the league, so I thought maybe the mods would pin this and we could just post all sorts of "UConn in the NFL" articles, links, stats, quotes, tidbits, etc. about our guys in the league. Obviously this would cut down a bit on the number of threads. I'm...

Interesting look at LB combine results and on-field production

From a Cowboys blog. I have read this is a decent example of how scouts actually analyze combine results. Our boy Sio grades out very well by these numbers. I wish the guy had included Trevardo and some of the other combo-LB guys for reference, but it is still a great read...

    Sio Moore Combine

Just put up a really impressive 10'7" broad jump. which is second best fo LBs, I think. Got a bit of praise from the broadcastor. Both he and Trev look so much more riped than almost all the other guys.

    Mike Golic.....

Had an accident in his pants tonight. Or maybe a stroke. Can't wait to hear him on Monday.

    Darius Butler

Pick 6, fumble recovery & a handful of tackles. He got the start today due to injuries and is definitely making the best of it. Mike Mayock was saying this is a huge (maybe last) opportunity. Then heaped the praise on him after seeing him put all that talent to work. Good to see for DBut.

    PP and GDL...... , please.

...... and take your "offense" and wonderful wildcat with you. So far this game, 0.1 yards per carry. Simply typing that made me throw up in my mouth. Go make it not work somewhere else. Preferably BC. I hear they may be coach-shopping soon.

    Box score

http://www.uconnhuskies.com/sports/m-footbl/recaps/091512aab.html Shows both Sio and Smallwood with 3 sacks each. Trevardo with one. I could swear I saw Wirth with at least 1 sack. Am I wrong about that? Anyway, Delahunt with 3 clutch catches. Nick Williams was his usual self. McCombs look...

    The Single Most Frustrating Thing......

....from today's game: Without fail, every single time the team gained some momentum, we did something to ruin it. All but maybe 2 or 3 of those times it was the offensive play call that destroyed the momentum. The only exceptions: NC State TD after the big sack and once maybe twice with a...

Virginia Tech just got totally shafted in OT. yuck total BS

Refs overturned a VT TD in overtime. I really thought the receiver maintained possession before hitting the ground and maintained possession. Kicker misses FG. Mich hits FG and ballgame. just disgusting. I'll post link to video when I can.

I want to know where you are sitting, so maybe I could meet some of you, or maybe tailgate with you for a bit. Donald Brown with a really nice 17 yard TD run. Great block from a newly signed rookie fullback sprung him and he dragged 2 guys into the end zone.

    Somewhat OT: Robbie Hummel

I find myself really pulling for this guy to have a solid bounce-back year. He seems like a really good guy and a great player. I just hope he has an injury-free year and that Purdue has a good season. Kid deserves it with all the bad luck he's had. Anybody with me on this?

I know we are totally distracted from football, but.....

Remember that Western Michigan QB who torched us? Yea, last night he lit up Toledo for this stat line: A. Carder 38/59 Comp/Attempt 548 Yards 9.3 Avg. 7 TD 0 Int Also had a rushing TD. I'd be hard pressed to find a better game than that one. Crazy part is...

    Best Stat Of The Day:

The defense allowed 0 (ZERO) points following 5 turnovers by the offense. That is just awesome. Talk about having their back. Wow. I didn't realize it until after the game. Also of note, the D allowed exactly their average rushing yards: 90 total and only 2.6 per carry. I take back anything...

remember "Donald Brown is not an NFL RB" discussion we had last week?

Addai got hurt and DB has 5 carries for 31. By far the best of the 3 Indy RBs. Again I'll say it, it is all about scheme and proper use of the talent you have.

    Donald Brown sighting.

I've been half heartedly watching the Colts game. I just saw DB in the game. Unfortunately, he whiffed on a block and Painter got absolutely blasted. I really root for DB a ton, but he just can't seem to turn the corner with the pass protection. I wonder if another team and another scheme would...
