Doesn't matter the way he wets those jump shots...or should I say stand shots.

Seth Davis: Who is a team outside the top 15 who could make a run at the Final Four?

You do realize there's a difference between November ball and March ball, don't you? I recommend slowing your roll....but I can only recommend. There was a you in November '10 and there was a you in November '13. Don't be another you.

UConn vs. Sacred Heart - What do you want to see?

Would anyone like to see Purvis drive to the rim? Because that's about the only play tonight.

Updated AP Poll - #26 UConn

Monmouth also beat UCLA & USC. Plus their bench should get at least one vote.

Updated AP Poll - #26 UConn

Cruise by SHU and sit back and wait for some losses in the lower half of the top 25 and we'll be right back in it next week to face Maryland.

So are these the growing pains?

After easily handling Michigan and coming out strong against Cuse I convinced myself we were beyond the growing pains. Now Michigan has a lot of problems themselves but are they really that inferior? Levert is one of the best players in the country. I think the lack of rest and preparation...

Everyone said the Zags bigs would destroy us

No doubt their guards beat our guards. That was the biggest surprise to me. A few things aided in that; unusually cold at 3, Purvis and Gibbs both missing layups, and our perimeter d shading towards the paint to help doubling the bigs.

To Ease Some Feelings: CBS Top 25 and One

Would you rather have one loss to a team like Monmouth, Northern Iowa, Northeastern or Richmond or two very close losses to Syracuse and Gonzaga right now?

    UConn/Zaggs Postmortem

How about switching to zone and getting their hands on a lot of passes? Also full court pressing. Both improvements that make us more dynamic and huge impacts today but too late in the game and too far to comeback.

    I'll live with this

I'm still shocked their back court outplayed ours. That's how we were supposed to win this game.
  13. Jay-Bone

    I'll live with this

The bright side is we played offensively within the perimeter. If we made more than one 3 we're in it. Totally took us out of our game.

Game tonight - good bar to watch Boston?

In the past the alumni have setup game watches at Greatest Bar, Cask 'n Flagon & Bleacher Bar. I'm up for going somewhere to watch. Both the Celts and Bruins have 7:30 game times so it might be difficult to get a channel change for tip-off if they overrun. Celts are home, probably best to...

    Seth Davis on Michigan

Will Miller have to glove 6'-8" Robinson on the perimeter? Or can Hamilton extend enough for that and allow Miller to body down low? Will big Steve have to come in for Brimah getting pushed around by Michigan's plodders? I have faith in our speed rebounding. We will have to close out the...

    Michigan Elon

They seem to have a lot of long perimeter players...Levert, Irvin, Chatman. Their big men are offensively ineffective plodders. Today they're hitting their 3s. Sounds like they are similar to us in needing to gel as injuries have prevented them from playing a lot together.

    Miler & Gibbs....whoa

Why you gotta be Scrappy-hatin? Embrace the positivity, this board needs it.

    For those carrying recruiting grudges...

Nice job shatting on a good kid who was plagued with injuries. You really are an ass clown. And if I remember correctly, you were the dickwad proponent saying Ollie couldn't recruit talent. Clever, yes, but an idiot who should be the last to get on a pedestal on a great day.....oh hell no.

    Maine *Game Thread*

No doubt, I think I grouped him in the first team, but strong for a first game appearance. The more I think about it, this may have been Facey's most active game yet, however somebody has to shat on the bench. You can't make this place up.

    Miler & Gibbs....whoa

This will be the caveat when we take #5. I can see coach K crying about grad transfers now. While he turns over a #1 recruiting class.

    Maine *Game Thread*

Dude, we put up 100, Facey looked good, Enoch had moments, SC had moments and OC as well. Let it be for a night. Ok, maybe SC and OC missed a few, but other than a lull in the first half the 2nd team has been strong.....unless you're referring to the walk-ins....

    Foxsports.com Preseason Top 25 - UConn 13th

It's about time. This team has way too much depth and flexibility. Only seeing through expedition goggles, but Miller, Enoch, Omar and "team gelling" all seem to be exceeding expectations. We suspected Jalen to be good, but you never know with freshman and he is showing great flashes that he...

Seth Davis picks UConn as Final Four Darkhorse, uses old logo

I may just be playing devil's advocate here, but I hope this isn't bittersweet as us becoming labeled as the non-top 20 team most likely to win it all. Sort of like how Gonzaga got the rep of being the mid-major most likely to make a deep run. The trendy pick. Ok, now back to rejoicing this...

Projected Top 100 Scorers in College Hoops This Season

I'm more inclined to wonder how many players will average double-doubles. Hamilton, Miller, Brimah, Gibbs.....but will there be enough missed shots?

CBSSports.com Preseason Top 25 (and one)

A lot of dangerous teams, i.e. storied programs in the 20-65 rank zone. Tough outs that don't allow us to leap frog them in the polls. Transitional years or not. Michigan, Texas, Syracuse, Ohio State, Washington, Memphis, Gerorgetown, Cincy, etc..... Hopefully some of these teams quickly...

UConn #3 Among Top 30 Transfers For 2015-16

I keep wanting to put Larrier in this discussion and say we blow everyone out of the water....but he doesn't play next year, even though his commitment came around the same time as the other two.

    C Nick Richards (UConn Offer)

Ollie doing work. That's the beauty of getting out of the gates early on '16, more time to put an emphasis on '17 now.
