Suggestions on stuff to do in Boston

Davis is actually a great little young / hipster neighborhood. The next Harvard Sq. I lived there for 3 years (not sure how they allowed that considering I'm the opposite of hip). If he is looking at Tufts, you've got to go to Davis.

Suggestions on stuff to do in Boston

Isabella Stewart Gardner museum is really cool. Shellfish at Atlantic Fish or Island Creek. Duck boat tour was better than expected if you haven't done that yet. I also 2nd kayaking or paddle boarding (or even sailing) on the Charles and through the Esplanade lagoons. Fun for a teen and...

    OT: Europe Trip

My memory is foggy from 8 years ago, but: 2) Coffee shops, red light district, canals, Van Gogh museum, Anne Frank house, Heineken museum if you're into that 3) Haven't been, but I would strongly consider one of the 7 Trappist breweries. Westvleteren 12 is the most sought after beers in the...

    Bloodline Season 2

I'm up to date but can't understand anything they're saying, especially Tom Hardy. It's like you need 1/2 a season to readjust.

    Bloodline Season 2

Oof, talk about when things fall apart. I wasn't sure it could survive after one certain death at the end of season 1, but it seems to be doing it.

    Rothstein Top 25 for 2016-17

I don't hardly disagree, but its like that game where you move one piece, then have to slide the others over. Someone noted above that with a slender 4 that is out on the perimeter, Bazz had to step up rebounding. No one is Bazz on this team. When your pg hangs around the rim, someone has to...

    Updated Scholarship Grid

Can Larrier grab rebounds / body up against thick PF's? I envisioned him as more of a swing 4, but haven't seen him play much. Facey has a nose for boards. Enoch has a thick body. If either of them can step up. We all know Amida gets pushed around and doesn't eat up boards.

    Updated Scholarship Grid

Not our style to have only 4 players that have put in serious time on a Uconn court. Still like our dog in the fight though. Need big step-ups from Facey and Enoch to become catch and score type players.

OT: Africa (and not the Toto song)

The all knowing yard never ceases to amaze me in its wealth of knowledge, information and experience. There may not be a square inch on this globe that yarders have not stepped on or a fact they have not known. This is great all. Many thanks!

OT: Africa (and not the Toto song)

Did anyone bless the rain while they were there? Seriously though, any must see sites (other than the pyramids), Serengeti / Lake Victoria, Kilimanjaro, Victoria falls, Cape Town? Was wondering if there was something like a tourist train too. Like an on-land cruise.

OT: Africa (and not the Toto song)

@Kitaman just put me on to this in his Boston hotel thread mentioning Africa. My mom and I are looking to go to Africa this year. Anyone have any good tips for where and when to go? Would probably be about a 2 week trip so would have to hone in on a few locations. Safari is a must. My mom...

    OT: Hotels in Boston (City)

My mom stayed at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel the last time. I used to have her stay near Assembly Sq in Somerville to save money but splurged this time. Its really nice and I think she paid around $250. That was around the cheapest I could find on hotels.com at the time. May have just got...

Day of The Dead - Grateful Dead cover compliation

It's been a while since my heavy Dead listening days, but Cornell '77 is the iconic one and I seem to remember being partial to Winterland NYE '78 that had some heavy Phil bombs in the segue.

Day of The Dead - Grateful Dead cover compliation

It starts with the 100's of songs of their own material, then the 100's of covers, then you become obsessed and it becomes the difference between Scarlet-Fire in '77 & '88 &'94. And then it becomes how Keith played it differently than Brent and then Vince. Oh, gawd. And like the above video...

Day of The Dead - Grateful Dead cover compliation

The fundamental difference is those groups played for the radio, the Dead played for the stage. And their catalog is endless. Good luck diving down the rabbit hole Penfield.

    OT - Dietary Supplements

Believe it or not, its not as bad as it sounds....and I'm lazy. This is the extent of my "cooking". I started out with a few items and just kept adding to it. It's easier for me to have a lot of different ingredients every day than to try to cycle through different smoothie recipes. The...

    OT - Dietary Supplements

My biggest problem is that I drink way too much. Not quite Leaving Las Vegas, but 10+ drinks 3-4 nights a week. I've just recently gotten into the superfood craze the last few years. I smoothie like a son of a bitch with a magic bullet. Its really cheap and works great. My daily smoothie...

Alterique Gilbert = a more athletic Shabazz

Didn't see much Shabazz at all. Really? The Gilbert I saw was much more Boatright / Kemba. Really? In fact I think that's the worst association of the three. You created a whole thread with this ideology? Really?
