Nice to see some fast breaks for once.

You understand there's something between encouraging and correcting, or not?

Excellent news. I want him on the team and am satisfied with him coming off the bench. This could be a combination of his grandmother dying, attacks on twitter, not living up to his own expectations, and the reality of being surpassed. Love the kid and encourage him back in blue. Forget the...

I remember when you wanted to run him off the team for not doing enough after the USF game when he shot 1-3 had 8 assists and 3 to's. Now thats really called making zero sense.

I had a couple high abv's. Wouldn't be the first time. Carry on. Although NYHuskies is coming through crystal clear to me. Weird.

You're fighting a losing battle on here. They don't want to concede that there could've been a middle ground. They want the all or nothing. The nothing is a better fit for them now and the distant future. They don't understand how bad Temple is. Just chuckle and know you tried.

    Chiefs00 Briefs - Temple Edition

Please, the dude had 10 assists one game and you're going to try to tell me he doesn't assist? This is stupid. There's a lot to complain about with AG. His sharing the ball is not one of them. Chief is just trying to get out in front of this one. My other favorite is those that say AG just...

It definitely should've been done more gently. Hurley ripped him off like a band-aid.

    Gaffney Going Forward

I'll believe it when I see it Saturday. Totally different setting. Tonight was encouraging for sure though.

    Post Temple game discussion.

He deflects all the passes, and Akok blocks all the shots. Boeheim would love him some Whaley.

    Chiefs00 Briefs - Temple Edition

Easy Chief, it was Temple at home. Gaff was very composed. Good game for him to get the keys. They all played well across the board. We certainly needed a confidence booster. Did a good job cutting down the fouls as well. They need to dream about the Tulsa tape for Memphis on the road.

OT: Favorite restaurants near TD Garden Boston

I used to live behind Sonsie on Comm Ave and it was my go to. Atlantic Fish for seafood fine dining. Ask for Lenny. La Voile is a hidden gem.

OT: Favorite restaurants near TD Garden Boston

Nothing. I moved from the Avalon bldg connected to the Garden 2 years ago and we hated the neighborhood. All there is are sports bars. Which is great for games, bad bar food and college kid partying but not dining. Ward 8 is probably the best food within a few blocks. Tits is the best for...

Its actually kind of amazing we've been hanging around in these games despite such poor shooting and foul shooting.

    Kahlil Whitney Transferring from UK

Nick Richards got lucky he was finally given a chance to see the light of day. He was a top 50 recruit that could've gotten a ton of PT playing somewhere else (UConn). In my opinion, the character flaw is going to Kentucky in the first place. Seth is an idiot for making that presumption on...

    Our veteran backcourt

If Gaffney gets the keys now, which looks to be the case, it'll be interesting to see if he doesn't implode on the road anymore.
  21. Jay-Bone

    Our veteran backcourt

They had 9 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 steals and only 1 to. Which was better and AG had a real nice floater finally. But they're just not hitting shots this year. Its sad, but you can't win that way. I hate it, but I concede this is the turning point. Really, really wish it went better for them.
  22. Jay-Bone

    AG criticizing

If he can start hitting outside shots at a constant clip, I think a lot more will open up for him. For now, the whole opposing team is swarming the paint when he starts to penetrate. As Bouk develops, things will also open up for him. Also as Akok becomes a better offensive target off his...

    Kahlil Whitney Transferring from UK

I know he was a 5*, just wondering if he's more of a Marcus Johnson (dunker) or more of a Caron Butler (all around player). Don't know anything about his play at Kentucky, but sometimes freshmen can be freshmen and don't blossom immediately like they are required to do at UK. I'd probably take...

    Kahlil Whitney Transferring from UK

Can he shoot and dribble? We haven't had a 6-5" to 6'-8" swing that could do both of those in quite some time.

Where We Are Through a Wider Lens

I have to agree, that despite us doing a lot of bad things offensively, if we could just make some outside and mid range shots and not blow bunnies, a few of these L's would've been W's. CV, AG, JB, BA and Akok have all been shooting poorly of late. Without Polley the only one who has been...

Favorite Underrated Play of the Houston Game

Wasn't there a sequence where he got a steal and then a dunk on the other end? Or vice versa? That was the play(s) for me.

Favorite Underrated Play of the Houston Game

Shouldn't this be moved to the positive thread forum? This is the Uconn Men's Basketball forum. Or marked OT or something? I was caught off guard.

    1-7 and 6

AG seems like a modest kid. The whole shooshing thing to me was him finally making a shot and trying to feel like the player he was supposed to be. I feel bad for the kid. His shooting woes this year have really brought him down. I thought he used to be a good FT shooter too. Being one...

One of the strangest endings ever

I think the fact that Gaffney dribbled out of bounds limited his time until everyone else fouled out. It seems like he panics on the road, then again he was cool as a cucumber in the final minutes. His handle is really suspect, yet he seems like he can score.

Do we start Whaley next game or

Whaley was awesome today. On par with Polley's big game. Did so many good things.

    Game Changing Play?

The Bouknight technical. With him in the game down the stretch we win.
  32. Jay-Bone

    Reality

At Houston, with the circumstances around the whistles and T's, I'm actually surprised we hung in it. But that last few mins was brutal. With Bouk still in, we win. Unfortunate, because the kids were fighting.

    We Have a Game Tonight

As depressing as it is, I will definitely watch, just like I do every game. I will watch to see if Josh stays aggressive. I will watch to see if AG can get some good shots to fall and to not over penetrate. I will watch to see if they can get Akok offensively involved more. I will watch to...

Will we get a 30 point game from someone this season?

Interestingly enough, we've had 6 different players lead in scoring and we've just started league play. And Akok isn't even one of them. We could easily have 7, and that hasn't been done at UConn in a while.
  35. Jay-Bone

Time for the freshman to show up in the box score.

We just have to wait until the freshmen save us next year. They're already penciled in the starting lineup as I've seen on here. Next year, the next year freshmen will save us. Until we get 5 stars.
