My wife and I sat right next to the only guy having steak at the bar. I now know who Chief is. Had I seen this post prior to the event I would have introduced myself.
My wife and I were talking to Ryan Boatright’s ex-girlfriend who is a Red Fox regular.
They’ll be coaching here next year. I guarantee you that. David Benedict himself told me to my face and has told the media the same many times over. Anyone who’s wishing Randy out the door is going to be sad.
That’s weak and so is this policy. Now, if they’re being obnoxious and yelling in your face and bumping into you, sure. If all they’re doing is cheering for the other team’s good plays and wearing their gear, that’s life. Not everyone likes your team.
That’s not what you posted though. You talked about the 1999 game and then said there was a “skin color difference between the two teams.” I thought you were limiting it to the players that night because that was the context and you didn’t say “Duke is a historically white program” or something...
I was with you until the last sentence. The Duke starting five that year were Shane Battier, Trajan Langdon, Elton Brand, William Avery and Chris Carrawell.
Corey Maggette, Nate James and Chris Burgess were their top three bench guys.
Burgess is the only white man in the bunch.
What are you...
I didn’t mind him tonight. Maybe I gave him an unintentional pass because of all the great charity work he does and it’s his night to annoy us. The only part I scoffed at was when he proclaimed what a great recruiter Sean Miller is at Arizona. Is his Sarasota home under a rock?
Neither Vital or Gilbert played well at all tonight. 22 team turnovers clearly illustrates that point. Eminently winnable game and we didn’t take advantage. Very disappointed tonight. Our backcourt needs to be better.
I, for one, appreciate the sacrifice. My girlfriend was a senior team manager the year of the George Mason game and she decided to go to Cabo for spring break instead of going with the team to the game. She was Josh Boone’s personal water distributor. I blame her for the loss.
