So per the current schedule, win or lose this afternoon no one will play tomorrow. The final wouldn't be until Sunday (at least for now). If we lose this afternoon, we would play the "if necessary" game on Saturday, and if we win this afternoon we would be off until Sunday.

That means that, from the bullpen, you can certainly stretch your relievers today with a lead knowing if you hold it you have two days off. I wouldn't be shocked if PJ came in in the middle of the 7th. Not sure about Wallace who threw a lot of pitches yesterday. If we win today, the pitching becomes easy because even assuming Dunlop gets the ball on Sunday you will have the entire pen rested, presumably including Cate, and maybe even the ability to use Feole on 3 days rest for an inning or two.

So we're not in bad shape if we lose today. We'd still come out Saturday with our #4 starter versus USF's #5. But we're in great shape if we win this afternoon.
The current schedule is all TBA, there will be game(s) tomorrow if the weather allows. Saturday looks like a no go with the huge storm rolling in.

Not sure the Final gets played if it doesn't happen tomorrow. Best case scenario is UCONN and ECU both win today's games.

Is the American streaming these games over YouTube as well, or just Facebook?

An inauspicious start for the Huskies. Silver lining, at least we made him throw about 20 pitches to get a 1-2-3 inning.

If the rain stays away tomorrow, and they want to, they can certainly finish the tournament. Just requires "if necessary" games in the a.m. followed by a final.

Why are we forced to watch this entire game through a fence with only one camera?

The alternate fields weren’t even on tap for streaming coverage until the weather played games with the schedule and they scrambled/adapted.

Dunlop over Kersten? I'm guessing Penders decided he'd like to save Kersten for the final, and he could always throw Kersten against USF in the next game if we lost today anyway. But that would then mean the final is a total bullpen day, where you're trying to get 5 pitchers short stints and patch together 9 innings. But if we come back, he's a genuis.

Someone asked who was pitching gor USF. Apparently Cy Young with all these strike outs.

This is their #4 pitcher? You can't think you're winning this game with less than 6 runs at a minimum. Bats need to wake up.

USF up 4-0. Penders is probably kicking himself on the starting pitching choice at the moment. But a lot of baseball left to be played.

If they are going to finish the tourney tomorrow, and we'll have to play twice to win it, Wallace and PJ aren't coming in to a game we're behind in. If Dunlop doesn't have it, we will give up a lot of runs.

Ugh. At this point you might as well leave Dunlop in and save even the back end of the bullpen as much as you can. In a tourney like this, it's always a huge risk to not start your best available pitcher for any game. Penders rolled the dice. Snake eyes it was. We should have an advantage with Kersten and their #5 starter whenever the next game is.

Well that sucks. The fun thing about college baseball tho is that there's bigger chances for comebacks like this. Gonna take a Herculean effort, but it is still early.
