According to twitter, Mack is in Orlando right now to play in some All Star game at the Amway Center on Saturday. As of yesterday (thanks to twitter) we know KO was still in Tampa. So they are in very close proximity of each other. Have to assume if we're still interested in Mack, KO will make the hour drive and be in Orlando for this game.

I lived in orlando for 5 years. You can make it to Tampa in under 90 mins depending on the traffic on i4.
I'll tell google maps to update their estimate to @CGarr peak travel speeds. :D

Edit: LOL google maps apparently does

Mapquest says as low as 78 min.

With any of this, it depends on where exactly you put your start and stop point. I'm sure you can make a really long route from the far east part of Orlando and the far west point of Tampa, but it doesn't really matter in the context of his post.

Haha, just checked. Orlando to Tampa and it says 2 hrs. The end of the destination is across the bay in St. Pete though. St Pete is not Tampa.

This is an absolute stupid conversation and must end now. Wish it wasn't brought up in the 1st place.

Why do I do this to myself: the middle of orlando to downtown tampa according to google maps. So ya, going 55 mph you can make there in under 90 mins.

Wheres STB when you need him?
BTW I made that ride once years ago. It can't tell you how long it took but it wasn't that long I'd say it was between 2 to 3 beers long

Not to conflate two threads but...New idea for Boneyard Channel: Each week of the recruitment season a selected Boneyarder serves as Kevin Ollie's chauffeur and itinerary planner on "Driving Coach KO." Needless to say, each participant gives KO unsolicited advice on how to run his team until, out of pure exasperation, he does a drop-tuck-n-roll out of the moving car.

In a weird way you all proved my point. Tampa to Orlando is longer then an hour. Also proves who needs to put the phone down and spend time with a friend or family member

Now we can get to the discussion on why the 20 minute difference matters in KO's ability to do what was proposed.
