    UConn MHOC 23-24

The flip side to this is, would you rather the "smoke-filled room" setup? The advantage of the PWR is you can always know where you are and where you will be. There's multiple websites where you can input future game results and it'll give you an accurate PWR field. There's also no...

    UConn v. #2 Boston University Terriers (Friday 2/23/24 @Toscano Family Ice Forum @7p & Saturday 2/24/24 @Agganis Arena @7p). Both games on ESPN+

NIL doesn't have nearly the impact in hockey that it does in basketball. There's not as much revenue to be had for hockey players, for one, and all non-US players can't benefit the same. It's the same problem Adama had last year.

If that's the case, that also hinders the team's ability to recruit high-talent guys. UConn shouldn't be operating their program like Merrimack.

Re: Wood, I think he's an extremely talented player and Cav is not running a system that exploits his talent. He thrives in space and with movement. UConn runs a grind it out style, especially in the neutral zone, and his talent is a bit wasted. I also didn't notice until yesterday how shallow...

    UConn v. #2 Boston University Terriers (Friday 2/23/24 @Toscano Family Ice Forum @7p & Saturday 2/24/24 @Agganis Arena @7p). Both games on ESPN+

Why would they bother wanting to get physical during garbage time of this game? Why risk injury? This would be like Donovan diving in the floor in the second half of a Georgetown fame. BU players a few times were literally rushing back to play D while UConn players were trying to lay hits...

UConn will be in the Maui Invitational next year

Yes, stay in the hotels or resorts on the island. There's loads of them and they span price ranges (and accompanying quality.) There's not a hotel on the island that won't be cheaper than a cheap AirBnB. It may not be the best, but neither would that AirBnB. I was in Lahaina in May, so just...

    UConn MHOC 23-24

It's almost guaranteed that the PWR cut line for at large bids will be 14 this year since the highest Atlantic and CCHA teams are currently sitting in the 20s and won't move into the top 16. It's also so hard to move from the high teens (17-19) into an at-large spot. For some reason you can...

    A lesson from Northeastern...

Worth noting that NU had a fairly significant string of injuries during the beginning of the season. I haven't followed UConn closely enough to know if they had the same, but that's contributed not insignificantly to NU's reversal of play.

    When is Karaban back thread

Zero sense rushing him back for Butler on Tuesday if his ankle isn't ready, not worth risking further injury. Especially with Georgetown and DePaul coming up that can serve as tune up games before Marquette and the far more tough stretch.

FSU looking to leave the ACC

...and the ACC adding those three schools was by far the most universally panned expansion move ever by a power conference and is one of the primary reasons we are having this discussion.

FSU looking to leave the ACC

Not really, at best it's a middle of the road brand that adds virtually nothing to either the B1G or SEC. Their football program would be in the bottom third of both leagues and never have a realistic shot at competing. Their basketball program is equally subpar.

FSU looking to leave the ACC

Access to markets is not a key priority anymore. It's not 2008. It's about success, size of fanbase, and whether anyone watches you on TV. Networks are no longer paying for the Northwestern/Vanderbilt/Georgia Tech's of the world.

Yes, they have the right to - but it does not mean they will. That means the GoR only exists, as of now, through 2027.

FSU looking to leave the ACC

I don't think all of those teams would get scooped up by the remaining 3 power leagues. There's a reason the ACC is not a valuable league. FSU, Clemson, Miami, UNC, UVA, and VT are definitely finding homes. ND too, if they want one. Pitt, NCSU, Duke, and Louisville maybe but not guaranteed. I...

Did Greg forget how to add? If FSU is member #19, then Notre Dame and UNC or Clemson and Miami cannot both be #20.

A GoHeels.Com Analyst Reacts To The Game

They think Ryan is their best shooter? Dude's shooting 25% from 3 this season. Davis or Ingram are their best shooters by percentage and total looks. They're delusional if they think he's their best outside shooter. Cam Spencer had literally not missed a free throw going into KU and missed...

A GoHeels.Com Analyst Reacts To The Game

I'd disagree that UNC's loss was like our KU loss. You can look at our KU game and point to multiple things where we did not play near our best and/or player status impacted the result of the game: Castle's injury Spencer's first half ankle/foot injury Donovan reaggravating his foot...

UConn Outbound Transfers for 8/1/23>7/31/24 Cycle

I suspect as more and more situations like Joly is facing now pop up, the number of players who enter the portal will subside a bit. There will still be a lot but a market correction, so to speak, will occur. Right now, it's so new that it's a free-for-all and the warts of the process are not...

Including the two goals they scored at the beginning of the third tonight, QU was outscoring opponents 25-4 in the 3rd period. Castle injury update

This aligns with information that's trickled from other folks who have actual connections. Dauster's pod today estimates a ~2-4 week timeline, with a projected return possibly for Gonzaga, more likely for conference play. Donovan's dad was on Spaces the other night after the MVSU game and...
