As of midnight today. Not sure if there will be a last minute deal but certainly something to monitor.

Correct! At least that’s how it appears. It’s a good option if you want to keep YTTV and supplement the espn channels with (essentially free) Disney plus and the Hulu library.
Yeah, thinking of going this route. I know with ESPN+ you can share accross mulitple users in different states so Im sure ESPN Unlimited is the same but only can have 3 streams which is the same at YTTV at the same time.

I switched from Yttv to Hulu a while back just because Hulu had SNY. This is a nonfactor now that SNY no longer covers UConn women. For my needs there are no real differences between the two. Although I find the ESPN plus content incorporated in the main menu on hulu convenient.
Don't get too comfortable with it as Hulu is going away soon and will be fully integrated into Disney+

Has the UI/UX for Hulu Live improved? The last time I tried it a few years ago it felt like something my grandmother would have designed, who was blind and is dead.

It is still terrible, maybe marginally less terrible compared to a few years ago though

We live in turbulent times.

The worst job I have ever had in my life, and I folded shirts at JC Penney when I was 16, is trying to be a Premier League fan who streams legally in the United States in the year of our lord 2025.

Just a quick clarification. YTTV doesn't charge you by screen that accesses YTTV (device on the tv), but you are capped at number of devices running YTTV at any time actively. I have 4 people in my household (2 of whom are in college out of the house most of the year). We have YTTV on at least 10 devices, but we never have more than 2 devices using YTTV at any time. I believe YTTV allows 3 devices at a time.

Also, I believe with YTTV, you just have to bring your device back to the "home" network every 3 months. The kids are always home before that time period expires. But only my son uses YTTV (for sports).
Right. I can often have 3-4 going at a time. YT wasn't friendly for that.

Is that iptv?

Yes, I have used them for a couple years w/o much issue.

Hmmm, this sucks. I already have ESPN+ for some UConn games, and Peacock for others. I'd have no hesitation dropping YTTV for Hulu. But I'm a Patriots fan in Colorado so I kinda need Sunday Ticket. How do I handle that?

I get it...but if you have multiple Tv's the box charges were getting crazy...plus we spend time between FL & NJ..so i would need that 2x. Streaming is getting less advantageous IMO if you only have 1-2 Tv's
Curious, if you keep the FIOS service in NJ can you sign into the Verizon FIOS app on a Smart TV to watch FIOS in FL and use your phone as the remote? That way you wouldn't need boxes in FL. I've never tried it but I wondered if that would work.

I’ve been on Hulu/yt for 8 years. So never thought about it

Call me a dinosaur but this is exactly why I have Verizon FIOS. I pay more but they have everything my wife and I want and they don't usually have these disputes that interrupt services (knocking on wood I didn't just jinx it!). They just charge all us customers more! Lol. But I don't care. How much could I possibly save trying to get everything I want through different streaming services? Not worth it.
Same, Optimum cable customer and although we've had similar disputes with them dropping MSG Network for a brief time before coming back and now NBA TV, nothing as major as all ESPN networks. I use streaming apps but they're not my main thing and I already hate having to use Amazon Prime for NBA League Pass, switching between games is such an easier process with cable than using an app.

Does Hulu carry NESN? If it matters I live in Vermont. I have had YTTV for 10 years or so and they have dropped NESN and the MLB channel in that time. Other than UConn hoops, and college hoops, some NBA, and baseball I never turn the TV on. And the price only goes up
Hulu Live does not carry NESN. In CT its just SNY and NBC Sports Boston (Celtics)

FuboTV is probably the next one on the chopping block for ESPN, though I don’t think it’s too likely in the near future. If I remember correctly, Disney wanted to start a cheaper version with just ESPN/fox/other Disney brands, but fubotv sued their way out of it claiming it was a monopoly or something like that, at least somewhat, given disney started their new espn ultimate anyways. If Disney was petty, I’m guessing they would’ve gone after Fubo first, but instead probably saw YTTV subscriber counts and made the logical move.

Once they cut ties with FuboTV, that whole monopoly talk will probably become a lot louder. I’m assuming Disney will want to avoid that in the short term especially as long as competitors like Fubo aren’t taking a bit chunk of their market.

So what doesn ESPN ultimate with the fox sports package not have in terms of UConn games this year? Debating getting it, though have trouble justifying it when I’m already getting the espn+ package for free through Verizon
