As of midnight today. Not sure if there will be a last minute deal but certainly something to monitor.
Isn't it $19.99/mo unless you want ad-free Disney? If you act now you can get Disney and Hulu+ added for the same $30 price for 1 year. https://plus.espn.com/?gclsrc=aw.ds&ex_cid=EDTC-PaidSearch-Google-23062617994-&s_kwcid=AL!8468!3!776077830227!p!!g!!espn streaming service&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=23062617994&gbraid=0AAAAADC9VdH0rQTu_yffieMgGwwiUkE-t&gclid=Cj0KCQjwvJHIBhCgARIsAEQnWlB_k7DMPU_xGmsaEBDC_bSuwbixHB5ndNI9k375TXUvxgkxmdV_0WAaAo6KEALw_wcB
What a joke bRead that they may provide a $20 discount
Curious, if you keep the FIOS service in NJ can you sign into the Verizon FIOS app on a Smart TV to watch FIOS in FL and use your phone as the remote? That way you wouldn't need boxes in FL. I've never tried it but I wondered if that would work.I get it...but if you have multiple Tv's the box charges were getting crazy...plus we spend time between FL & NJ..so i would need that 2x. Streaming is getting less advantageous IMO if you only have 1-2 Tv's
I’ve been on Hulu/yt for 8 years. So never thought about itCurious, if you keep the FIOS service in NJ can you sign into the Verizon FIOS app on a Smart TV to watch FIOS in FL and use your phone as the remote? That way you wouldn't need boxes in FL. I've never tried it but I wondered if that would work.
Which one?I just started down this iptv route. really easy and save a ton of money!!!!
Which one?
No ESPN Select which is in that bundle is just ESPN+. ESPN Unlimited is different and has all the other ESPN channels(ESPN, ESPN2 etc) including ESPN+.Isn't it $19.99/mo unless you want ad-free Disney?
So use the $20 you will save on YTTV for this bundle...annoying yes, but doable.
Same, Optimum cable customer and although we've had similar disputes with them dropping MSG Network for a brief time before coming back and now NBA TV, nothing as major as all ESPN networks. I use streaming apps but they're not my main thing and I already hate having to use Amazon Prime for NBA League Pass, switching between games is such an easier process with cable than using an app.Call me a dinosaur but this is exactly why I have Verizon FIOS. I pay more but they have everything my wife and I want and they don't usually have these disputes that interrupt services (knocking on wood I didn't just jinx it!). They just charge all us customers more! Lol. But I don't care. How much could I possibly save trying to get everything I want through different streaming services? Not worth it.
Hulu Live does not carry NESN. In CT its just SNY and NBC Sports Boston (Celtics)Does Hulu carry NESN? If it matters I live in Vermont. I have had YTTV for 10 years or so and they have dropped NESN and the MLB channel in that time. Other than UConn hoops, and college hoops, some NBA, and baseball I never turn the TV on. And the price only goes up
A lot. We have like 7 TNT/truTV games and 8 Peacock. So what doesn ESPN ultimate with the fox sports package not have in terms of UConn games this year? Debating getting it, though have trouble justifying it when I’m already getting the espn+ package for free through Verizon
Not especially eager to give money to obviously illegally operated ventures. At least not in a way where they get any of my personal information.I get all my sports on zuzz.tv for $100/yr and never looked back. Every sport, every game.
All of this is.YouTubeTV is exhausting.
You're still a white dwarf.I get all my sports on zuzz.tv for $100/yr and never looked back. Every sport, every game.
As long as the pricing and content remains the same, why would I care? I guess one potential downside is you'd see more annoying Disney content in your menu.Don't get too comfortable with it as Hulu is going away soon and will be fully integrated into Disney+
I read your post and it sounded great but it seems little sketchy.I get all my sports on zuzz.tv for $100/yr and never looked back. Every sport, every game.
Disney lost all those direct subscribers during the Kimmel ordeal so now they are going strongarm tactics. Is YTTV going to prorate me for the drop in service?
Just meant the UI difference. It's not quite the same but it might blend more once "Live TV" is fully incorporatedAs long as the pricing and content remains the same, why would I care? I guess one potential downside is you'd see more annoying Disney content in your menu.
Agree. No deal now means a lot of money Disney is no longer getting, and the amount they might get from from subscribers to their Hulu package I'm sure doesn't come close to the money they were pulling in from their contract with YouTube TV. It's just a matter of time for them to strike some sort of deal. Though the longer it goes, I'm sure YouTube TV is going to lose more and more subscribers. Resolving this quickly is in both their interests.Because it has reach and without those people your advertising dollars go down. There will be a deal eventually, both sides need a deal.
YTTV has some disadvantages. They don't own any content aside from YT, they don't sell Internet or phone like the cable companies, to subsidize the cost of carriage fees. Disney is probably trying to gain a bit of share as it integrates Hulu and Disney+ apps fully, but neither can let this situation persist for long.
So as of this past week, Fubo actually merged with Hulu Live, with Disney being a 70% shareholder in Fubo. Unclear if Hulu Live and Fubo will remain separate offerings in perpetuity, but seems unlikely Fubo will lose ESPN content. Hulu Live is “technically” not under the Disney umbrella as of this week.FuboTV is probably the next one on the chopping block for ESPN, though I don’t think it’s too likely in the near future. If I remember correctly, Disney wanted to start a cheaper version with just ESPN/fox/other Disney brands, but fubotv sued their way out of it claiming it was a monopoly or something like that, at least somewhat, given disney started their new espn ultimate anyways. If Disney was petty, I’m guessing they would’ve gone after Fubo first, but instead probably saw YTTV subscriber counts and made the logical move.
Once they cut ties with FuboTV, that whole monopoly talk will probably become a lot louder. I’m assuming Disney will want to avoid that in the short term especially as long as competitors like Fubo aren’t taking a bit chunk of their market.
