Gilbert looks the best. Our defense is sloppy and our offense rushed with not cuts. Only two returning players.

Yeah I’m not worried...yet. But there are tendencies with some players that haven’t changed since last year. The new guys look lost. Also would like to see more movement on offense inside out and better tougher defense

The guy he recruited to be our shooter is sitting the year out on the New Mexico bench right now....(granted I wouldn't exactly call him lights out anyways).

Vital is a decent shooter but yeah KO hasn't recruited many shooters. And it shows with our offense.
 
Thought this game was tomorrow! Balls. But then just put it on and we are down 25. Nice. Anything redeemable from this?

PC has top 7 scorers back and is probably a top 3 Big East team. Larrier has looked terrible though and we are relying on him this year to be a leader. We have something work with in Carlton - will be a useful player year over year. Agree with others that shooting looks really bad. Jalen has been OK. Would love to see some flashes from AG that made him a McD's AA.

Vital, and Polley maybe. And Jackson last year, but he's gone.
 
Down 21 on 32% shooting and -8 on the glass but somehow +8 on offensive boards.

Liked Cobb and Carlton rebounding, but not their fouling.

We can't shoot. It's been a problem for years, but every year we tend to underrate how important it is. Ollie keeps recruiting point guards who are moderate shooters and in aggregate we get open 3s and miss them. And then teams zone us, we can no longer penetrate, and we're toast.
 
It's a pre-season game but it literally looks like ta total retread with a different cast. Which is how it's looked the last two years. Same offensive 'sets', no defense... I get it, I get it - lots of new players, etc - but this was unbelievable.
 
I'm probably most disappointed our team looks like a bunch of scrawny kids next to most good D1 teams. All this talk about Carlos Daniels and our kids lifting serious weights and they look like this, I seriously don't get it.
 
Our back court will be fine if they stay healthy but somebody has to step in the front court and score consistent points.

Larrier just looks like he lacks fundamentals for his physical assets.
