Don't know how you got 215s, I just went back and tried for seats again. It sent me to 232. Unless Ticketmaster assumes that upper level everywhere is equal, the 215s should be considered better and more valuable than the 232s.
232 row J is available for the Washington game on ticketmaster. $15 ea.

My season tickets used to be 215 V.

Crazy isn't it? When I was young and poor and could only afford a few games a year I remember the hikes to the double letter rows. Now I just buy whatever and sit in the overhang of the student section. I had season tickets in the back of 219 a few years ago - only game I went there was Pitt.

I'd prefer XL only be used for major, nationally televised games.

Tonight's game, at a full Gampel, would have been a much better atmosphere for any type of SH memorial. IMO.

It's Xmas break and noboby's on campus. Gampel would've looked just about as empty.

We did that for a season, then they stopped letting you up there. Now it seems they are back to letting sit there.

Hmm I've never had anyone say anything to me. I usually slip in early to get that first row.

I have been saying this for years. Until the Civic Center/XL Center has it's roof fall in again, Uconn is going to be cursed with playing games there. Deal with it. There is no way............................NO WAY, it is ever going to change. The excuses about the economy, the shootings, the weather all are secondary. Playing in the Hellhole that is Hartford is a main reason. Yes, all the games should be moved to Gampel. However, that is never going to happen.
Well if yesterdays game was at Gampel instead of the hour and thirty five minutes it took to get to the game it would have been two and a half hours. Then there is the matter of hotels and bars/restaurants within a two block radius of XL. We visited a different restaurant before and after the game and stayed overnight. I know Gampel is right on campus but it is just not as desirable a destination for many reasons. On a great weather day it is a half hour further away for a large portion of the fan base.

Why the hell did they ever build Gampel. Just seems to me if I were a player I'd want all my games to be played in Storrs where all the excitement is. And the same goes for where they play football at the Rent. It just seems when it comes to logistics Ct always screws it up.

I come from Danbury and have never cared about the longer drive to Gampel. The college atmosphere is so much better. In the past, I could never get tickets for games at Gampel. I've said that all games this year should have been at Gampel since there wouldn't be a postseason and attendance would be bad. I know there was a storm yesterday but seeing the crowd on tv for the Washington game, I was embarrassed for the kids and university. Not many recruits want to play in an arena that's so empty they can have a conversation with someone sitting in the rafters.

Do you honestly believe that Gampel would have looked any better yesterday figuring it was the hardest hit part of the state and no students on campus to help fill the seats as they did during the infamous PITT game 7 years ago.?

Also...the crowd that was there yesterday was loud and supportive. I've had season tix for 24 years but I'll always remember that game because of the snow, coach Ollie and the true team win.

Ok, yesterday was probably a bad example. Did the announcers at least credit the storm for the poor crowd? Anyway, the crowds at XL have been awful all season. Even $10 and $15 promos can't come close to packing the place. At least a small crowd would pack Gampel, at XL it just looks bad.

Attendance was 12,720. Tickets sold. Around 6000 attended because of the snow.

Andy Katz mentioned it in his article about KO's new contract.

Apparently you weren't embarrassed enough to put your fanny in a seat. But I understand talk is cheap. How is the college atmosphere at Gampel so much better? Don't the students sit behind a basket just like the XL. Am I missing something here?

I've been to four games this season and was at a fund raiser for Sandy Hook yesterday.....
My apologies, you were clearly doing something way more important than me. I just get frustrated when people bitch about the XL but don't attend the games. In your case, that fundraiser was 10000x more important

Arena was built for basketball, seating that's more on top of the court, especially student section. Not that XL doesn't get loud for big games, but atmosphere's like Syracuse game last year, or the Texas game a few years ago don't happen at XL.

That said, it is what it is, they have reasons to play at XL and they aren't going to change. It's not like Gampel gets packed for the cupcake games anymore either.

You think it is bad now, just you wait until 2014-15 and see how many show up for Tulane, Central Florida, Houston and SMU, and those will be conference games!...Is the field house still available to play in? Or maybe we can turn Gampel into an Imax theater or a concert hall or something and share EO Smith's gym with that power house schedule.

that's a huge concern - the looming excitement of the Big East portion of the schedule is what gets me through the cupcakes - I'm sure I'm not alone

Yes, yes we are. Let's see how it goes next Tuesday. A rare Gampel game during the semester break.

I'm sure there will be tix available, there are a couple of guys you see every game. And I'm also pretty sure there will be a tickets on sale email coming out before then.
