Even Calhoun was closer in recapping a game. I always got a kick out of Coach when he never got the score right, or the clock time, or the runs in the game etc. the details always eluded him. He was usually in the vicinity though.

After the Marquette game there was no where to go but up. I realized we were bad in that game but they mentioned on the radio how historically bad we were. Worst shooting percentage in 4 years. Worst 3 point percentage since leaving the AAC. Yet we still had a chance to send it to OT. I am going to file that game as a one off. Got it out of the way before the post season.

Yeah, if you look at all the rest of the numbers, they're not bad. Certainly a couple things a touch below average that make the difference in a one possession game, but nothing crazy. And they killed them on the boards. Still held them to 64 pts before the double T on Hurley. Outside of the terrible 3P shooting, I thought Marquette just played really well. Why they couldn't manage to do that more often before the final game is a mystery.
