Karaban had some uncharacteristic turnovers. 3 times he threw the ball right to an Xavier player. Maybe he was trying to force things? Not sure what it was but I don't think I've ever seen him do stuff like that. So 3 times was just strange.Ball had a very good game. Solid on both ends. Tough to criticize them at all but I don’t like the number of turnovers that just look sloppy. They certainly are one of the better teams in the country.
yes, happy new yearIf he missed one more he’d have been 1-6 lol you’re kidding me right? You want nitpicking read your post. I said he’s improved on everything but his 3 pt shooting and you found a need to hammer on that?
Happy New Year 😂
I agree, he'll get there. Here's what Hurley said post game.Jerry West was all-world defensive player too- Mullins has quick feet but he’s not there defensively- yet
We really should have went after himIsn’t that where the kid Wolf from Yale went?
Titles, as in multiple??This 9-man rotation is going to make history and win titles.
If he was a little higher up on the points list I would say he’s firmly in the convo but he’s going to finish just outside top ten scoring most likely. But the two rings make up for that IMO, plus he will finish top 3 in threes made most likely.I think if he wins BEPOY and another natty he at least gets in the conversation
why? I thought he transferred to michiganWe really should have went after him

For good or bad Mullins is laser focused. He took away a Reed rebound by swiping the ball out of his hands. Made up for it by attempting to do it twice more but Reed was ready for him on those attempts.Mullins had a very nice all around game. He had 6 rebounds and 4 assists. We will need him to rebound to reach our potential. He is starting to play like he is 6-6. And there is plenty of room to the upside.
I'll assume Big East regular season and tournament as well as NCAA is what was meant.Titles, as in multiple??
MIt may have been, but someone else said it was a kicked ball by Xavier and UConn actually retained possession after the TV timeout.
For those that missed it here it is as part of the post game stuff Peacock did. @RuffRuff is going to love what Jordan Cornette said.
I hear they are REALLY goodwhy? I thought he transferred to michigan![]()
I love this whole quote from Hurley on Braylon. Here I am looking forward to professional grade 3 point shooting, and it turns out the kid also has the smoothest mid-range body in motion jumper since Rip or Ray. And now Hurley says, 'wait, there's more coming, you haven't seen it all yet'. Paraphrasing there on Hurley, but man, Mullins elevating this whole team with his scoring and overall play has just made UConn the most dangerous team in the country. Bleed Blue!I agree, he'll get there. Here's what Hurley said post game.
"Braylon's a ballplayer. He hasn't even started hanging on the rim yet," the coach noted. "At some point, he's going to be on the receiving end of the lob. He's a very unique player. And he's way ahead of things from a defensive standpoint. He's very sturdy, tough and competitive, and he can guard. He can score at all three levels, and the guy can really pass. We're very fortunate to have him at UConn. We've got a lottery pick-level player that's just getting going right now."
There times nfm may be appropriateNo message
In all fairness, the poster that was criticizing Solo’s game said he didn’t watch the game… so your eyes can be open as long as your TV is offAnyone who cannot see the improvement in Solo's game has their eyes shut.
Hurley and color guys (Raf and others) watching Smith keep talking about how impressed they are with him but I'm still not seeing it. Too often he overdribbles and then makes a bad decision with no time left on the shot clock (driving into the trees, forcing a pass, etc.)Silas has been much better running the offense for about the past 3-4 games, the offense dies in Smith's hands too much with him ballpounding while guys are flashing off cuts and coming off screens that he doesn't see or deliver the ball on time to.
Rough game for Malachi.
Rough game for Malachi.
The biggest worry for this team (besides staying healthy) is fixing whatever that was in the first half in Mali’s world. That is the type of stuff that can get us bounced in the tournament in a close game
