Maybe I did because I was more focused on Solo playing the the best all around game I’ve seen him play on offense and defense -made me overlook what I would call a bit of nitpicking. One of those shots falls in and he’s 3/6. I just don’t see a “there” there on this one but that’s just me.

If he missed one more he’d have been 1-6 lol you’re kidding me right? You want nitpicking read your post. I said he’s improved on everything but his 3 pt shooting and you found a need to hammer on that?

He needs to be better in every other facet of the game if we are going to get this season to the finish line. 100% he's the key to the season.

It may have been, but someone else said it was a kicked ball by Xavier and UConn actually retained possession after the TV timeout.

Karaban had some uncharacteristic turnovers. 3 times he threw the ball right to an Xavier player. Maybe he was trying to force things? Not sure what it was but I don't think I've ever seen him do stuff like that. So 3 times was just strange.

I agree, he'll get there. Here's what Hurley said post game.

"Braylon's a ballplayer. He hasn't even started hanging on the rim yet," the coach noted. "At some point, he's going to be on the receiving end of the lob. He's a very unique player. And he's way ahead of things from a defensive standpoint. He's very sturdy, tough and competitive, and he can guard. He can score at all three levels, and the guy can really pass. We're very fortunate to have him at UConn. We've got a lottery pick-level player that's just getting going right now."

If he was a little higher up on the points list I would say he’s firmly in the convo but he’s going to finish just outside top ten scoring most likely. But the two rings make up for that IMO, plus he will finish top 3 in threes made most likely.

For good or bad Mullins is laser focused. He took away a Reed rebound by swiping the ball out of his hands. Made up for it by attempting to do it twice more but Reed was ready for him on those attempts.

I'd love to have his mental processing skills that allows him to see the basketball hoop diameter as large as Tarris and see Tarris as small as a basketball hoop.

Thanks for sharing this video. You can see Mullins with his family after the game in the background. I believe around 2 hours from his hometown. That would have to be a factor on why he was on from the get go last night. Going to try to make it to Hinkle in February to see if there is a repeat performance.

I love this whole quote from Hurley on Braylon. Here I am looking forward to professional grade 3 point shooting, and it turns out the kid also has the smoothest mid-range body in motion jumper since Rip or Ray. And now Hurley says, 'wait, there's more coming, you haven't seen it all yet'. Paraphrasing there on Hurley, but man, Mullins elevating this whole team with his scoring and overall play has just made UConn the most dangerous team in the country. Bleed Blue!

Rough game for Malachi.

Aside from health, consistency of the 2 deep pg play is my only real concern for this team.

Silas has been much better running the offense for about the past 3-4 games, the offense dies in Smith's hands too much with him ballpounding while guys are flashing off cuts and coming off screens that he doesn't see or deliver the ball on time to.

Hurley and color guys (Raf and others) watching Smith keep talking about how impressed they are with him but I'm still not seeing it. Too often he overdribbles and then makes a bad decision with no time left on the shot clock (driving into the trees, forcing a pass, etc.)

Considering the location of this game and where he played college ball prior to this season, I think there is a good chase was trying to do too much last night in front of that crowd.
