Dallas Wings need a coaching change in a bad way. Who leaves your best scorer Arike that long on the bench? Diana took over after that.

Diana going Scorched Earth (and not in a good way). in Q1 vs Dallas

T's, Over the top physical play. Shooting too quick I think the Tina move might have really pissed her off.

I wouldn't be shocked if Phoenix goes on a tear after this. Tina leaving probably adds a lot of fuel to the fire and makes the team play with a chip on its shoulder. Not to mention they definitely have the horses (SDS/Taurasi) to do it.

Looks like Seattle, like Tina Charles, might be all in on a championship (or bust) push this season, if they go ahead with this signing.
Magbegor is playing at an exceptional level right now, in the games I've seen. Lots of energy, as usual, but now she's picking all the right times and spots (yes, the proverbial light bulb went off).

So, could TC accept being part of a rotation, along with Magbegor and Stewie. Like you, I believe Stewie can play anywhere but she's the best player on this team (league?) and I don't think one should mess with that. And, if you swing Stewie out to wing, you lose Gabby's defensive ability and speed. If anyone loses minutes here, it's Lavender.

Will Seattle and Tina -- and Seattle players -- all be on the same page as what her role is? That's kind of critical in my eyes, as Em Adler in The Next brings up.

As for Phoenix, will they resign Kristine Anigwe? Or move Gustafsson into the starting lineup and sign a Milic or Alanna Smith to provide some depth? Stay tuned.
Lavender is a liability anytime she's on the floor. She isn't good at anything, has been a sub on any good team. If Russell was playing Lavender would be glued to the bench.

Well now the Sun and Aces have both lost back to back games. And the Storm lost to LA who looked completely hapless the previous game. Yep, this year is wacky! Oh, LA and Phoenix won on the same day. I think I'm officially gonna give up any hope of having any idea who will win any given game.

Like you, I'm scratching my head. All three visiting teams win last night.

Some thoughts:
  • KLS with her best game of the year, while Jewell and Sue seem to have snoozed.
  • Mercury, whom some thought would've mailed it in, stay strong and determined and win out.
Dallas takes another cha-cha step backwards. If Gray, Mabrey or Ogunbowale are off, the balance seems off. Gray missed last night's game.
- Very competitive in LV last night.

Nice UConn flavor in UConn West (LA - Seattle) highlights.

Lots of UConn player highlights but Geno might be pissed with our defense

KLS stands out to me in how so much of her activity was in the 2nd half and 4th Q. Did a number on Gabby with about 3+ minutes left.

Got to say, I'm really delighted to finally see KLS utilized properly, and therefore able to shine like she can. To the degree LA turns their season around, she's been the major game changer, IMHO

Jewell has been awful 4 of the last 5 games. She needs to get things together, or if Tina joins the team start Gabby.
For someone with her talent scoring in single digits 3 of 5 games is unacceptable.

How about a little Liv Luv. :p

That reverse layup around Stewie / Ezi off the blown layup  (but points for the O Board) was very impressive to me in real crunch time. A lot of poise and she did not panic and push an impossible shot up.

Liv had more minutes than Cambage (21-15) and I think was on the court through all the important crunch time minutes. Maybe even more minutes if Liv was not in foul trouble

LA Coach probably likes the change of a center able to run the floor and who does not pout.

Wow. The Sparks seem to be putting it all together. Good to see Liv and KLS getting minutes and playing well. KLS looks so comfortable out there. Glad to see her getting the respect from the Sparks coaching staff.

What you didn't show was Jewell 1-9 and 3 points. Don't know what her problem is but 4 of the last 5 games she hasn't been good.
Three of the five games she was in single digits. She's too good a player for that.

I think I heard Cambage hasn't scored in double figures the entire month of June. They should just sit her, she's really not bringing anything. So much wasted potential, but she gets less impactful w/ each passing season.

Good back and forth battle between Chicago and Minnesota, approaching halftime.

No Copper and no Coach Wade for the Sky.

Again: how did nobody sign Rebekah Gardner prior to this season? Unbelievable.

I really wish I knew what the secret sauce is for some players drawing foul calls, while others just don't get the whistles. Why is Powers going to the FT line constantly? She's not doing anything any different than a bunch of other players, who don't get rewarded w/ constant trips to the charity stripe. Officials are so darn inconsistent.

Powers has 8 FTA, Chicago has 3 as a team. Ludicrous.

Allemand finally finding some offense. She'd scored 5 points total in 6 games previously. She has 9 today.

Sky stretch a lead to 10 at the end of Q3.
