Surprised no comments here about how Sabally was helped(or not helped) after her concussion-producing injury last night. Plenty of strong criticism flying around about lack of stretcher or even a wheelchair. Very sad watching her being helped(almost carried) off the court. And a pathetic, rambling explanation by the Phoenix coach today.

Both Ionescu and Bueckers over Plum? Nah, not having it. LA disappointed, but Dallas was terrible, and NY also underachieved significantly. Sabrina was up, down and all over the place. Plum was ahead of both in scoring and assists. Bueckers may have shot better but Ionescu was worse. KP led them all in 3 point%, Bueckers had the best overall FG%. Ionescu was not good in either category. Like I said, that's a big NOPE from me.

I think you have a good case for KP > Sabs and a weak one vs Bueckers. Paige had a shoe string cast, an in over his head coach, and was 100 percent the focus of defenses when Arike was out. And she still shot over most of them. I know, I watched her torch us. Oh, and if memory serves, she was one of the league's steals leader. Her D is legit.

KP was stuffing stats but honestly wasn't all that impressive to watch and she had a really strong supporting cast that spread the floor really well... And yet they had the same exact post season outcomes...

Congrats, Las Vegas!! The new dynasty! Great win. Great season. Great playoff run. Phoenix? Well done as well. Nobody expected you guys to make it this far. The whole season it was my beloved Minnesota Lynx and the New York Liberty. Out of nowhere we had Atlanta, Las Vegas, and Phoenix. Las Vegas was a mystery all season. Atlanta and Phoenix, along with Golden State, were those surprise teams. Well done Phoenix and to the Mercury fans. Great season.

Sabrina shouldn’t have gotten it. She faded the same way New York faded. Sabrina the greatest shooter in the game, right? She shot less than 30% from 3 this season. I would have Plum over Sabrina. I like Paige being there. She had better stats than basically every guard.

No love for the surprising Fever who took the Aces too the limit?

Is 19 FTA a record for a Finals game? That's a lot. Especially considering she was only 7-21 from the field. Another playoff triple double for AT.

Probably won't get talked about much, but Loyd and Evans gave fairly solid contributions off the bench throughout the series.

I mentioned her injury. I too was surprised she didn't get more help. She was on the floor for an extended period and looked as if she was going to pass out and/or vomit. It was a bit of a freak injury, taking a knee to the head, but it looked brutal. I hope Satou recovers quickly and thoroughly. Was Satou in the arena for Game 4?

No biases, but I think she will eventually make the Women's Hall of Fame. Just an unbiased hunch.

I think her best years are behind her, but she’s still one of the most fearless and clutch players in the league. 4 titles as a starting PG is no accident. I looked back at her 2021 Finals MVP stats the other day, 61% FG and 54% 3-pt.

My only question (rhetorical) is should he have been the one to answer that question? Yes, he's the head coach but the medical team made the call. Personally, I think they should be the ones taking the heat and explain why when they're supposed to be the certified experts.

In a very strange season, the Fever and the expansion team were incredible surprises and the Fever coming close against the Aces after so many injuries was an amazing accomplishment.

In the preseason I thought the odds given to the Fever were overly optimistic, probably because they had the league's new extremely popular star. After the injuries to Clark and others I thought they would be the weakest team in the playoffs. Just getting to the second round was a major upset, and taking it to the Aces was amazing. Probably one of the best coaching jobs ever by White.

As an Aces fan, what a strange season. An average team thru 28 games then a 16 game winning streak, followed in some ways by a struggle in the playoffs. Seattle and Indiana were much harder than anticipated. more consistent with the term ugly wins. A sweep is a sweep, but Sabally and Thomas injured pretty much killed any chance Phoenix had.

The year the Aces beat the Liberty at New York down two starters was a tremendous accomplishment. Those were two super teams, and Vegas managed the upset very shorthanded. This year it was more like backing into the title. There were no super teams, the two best teams if healthy were probably Minnesota and New York, neither of which Vegas had to play, and the teams they did play in the last two rounds were devastated by injuries.

This year Vegas was very fortunate and this championship team was a clear notch down from the first two versions. Lyod for Plum was a downgrade, and the supporting cast was significantly weaker. Regardless this next free agency period will be wild. Who was good or bad this year may not matter next season. It is almost like every team starting with a clean slate, with few returnees, and most of their cap space available for free agents.

Eh, I don't think it's fair to say they backed into a title when they finished the year going 25-3. Sure this team wasn't as good overall as their 2022 or 2023 versions and had a couple of very competitive series, but they were dominant to finish the season and the very deserving champion.

They relied more heavily on their big 3 this time, but the 2025 playoff edition of Jackie Young and A'ja Wilson were both clearly better than the 2022 or 2023 versions. You're also selling the supporting cast short. Both Dana Evans and Jewell Loyd made massive contributions and this team consistently went 8 deep whereas the 2022/2023 versions only played 6 players in the playoffs.

As an Aces fan, go enjoy your team's win!
