WNBA Finals - who you got?

Ok, so I only saw a small bit of the game, however one foul was interesting. I understand the intent of the safe space landing, however Gray shot a 3 and came down on defender's foot, whilst that leg was way in front of her body. Is there a "dance space" circle around the shooter for it to be considered a foul, vs not?

In another game they were talking about this. If it is a natural motion for that player, it will get called but if it is unnatural (i.e., intentionally seeking contact), it won't. So it is basically tailored to each player's tendencies.

It probably gets easier as the season progresses but I agree.

Turned on Game 2 in Q2. Wilson went nuts. That was nothing, now Young is just doing anything she wants in Q3. Phoenix appears to be in big trouble.

And if the Wilson/Young combo isn't enough, Gray looks almost like her old self. Scoring, dishing, and huge pest on defense, lots of steals and poke aways.

Young w/ a new Finals record 21 point quarter. McCoughtry w/ 19 was the previous record holder. Young and Wilson have combined for 54 thru 3 quarters. Copper is having a big game but Phoenix needs more help.

There’s really not much Young can’t do. Easily one of the most complete players in the league.

Phoenix has been resilient in these playoffs. I wouldn't count them out yet w/ the next 2 games at home for them.

These refs are terrible. Bad calls going against both teams. Embarrassing for the league, this is what they get in a Finals series?

End of the game got ugly, brick fest by both teams. Merc trimmed the final margin to 13, it was at least as much as 22 at one point.

32 for Young, 28 for Wilson. Sabally and Copper countered w/ 23 and 22, obviously not enough. Was it me or was AT completely non existent offensively in the 2nd half?

Great to see Jackie Young have a huge game. If she can play like this for the rest of the Finals, it is a wrap.

There’s really not much Young can’t do. Easily one of the most complete players in the league.

Looks like Trader Bill and Dan Padover knew what they were doing when choosing her #1 back in 2018 (wow...that long?).
Becky Hammon should be commended for her work in making Young one of the best two-way guards....anywhere.
Pencil Young, Wilson, AT and Collier in for the World Cup and USA Coach Lawson and GM Bird are already in great shape for the World Cup.

This morning I clicked on ESPN to see an article that said something like Aces try to finish off Phoenix tonight as if it was a best of 5 series. Maybe that is indicative of how seriously they take the WNBA if their reporter doesn't know it is a best of 7 series this year. It appears if you go to the gamecast part of tonight's game. Surprised nobody has caught it or removed it by now.

While not the intent of their statement, if Phoenix loses on Wednesday, I find it highly unlikely that they will go on a four game winning streak.
