Pokey was pretty honest about wanting a defensive-minded interior player. Boyette fits that description.

I've always thought she was a stiff that was overrated because of her size. But we'll see. Probably a better fit for CHI than Bulgak but I like Bulgak better overall.
I always worried about someone breaking Bulgak in half under the basket. I'm sure she was training in the weight room but holy jeez is she ever a slender reed.

Shoot. I guess ESPN2 is only going to run the first round of the draft in my corner of the swamp. Oh well. Will read about it tomorrow.

B. Graves (TN) to the Lynx ... good for her. I think she has more upside than folks know. HuskyNan probably has a good viewpoint.

Our work is done here. We can change channels now.

No way! At this rate I'm thinking Briana Pulido might hear her name called tonight! I'll miss her coming off the bench.

TAMU's Courtney Walker and Washington's Talia Walton invited to draft but not taken in 1st round. Hate seeing that.

Thankfully Walker was picked in 2nd round, but Walton must be crushed. I hope she uses this at motivation. Got to wonder how the planners could make this mistake.

Update - the Sparks take her in 3rd round. Maybe she pulls an Aaron Rodgers on everyone. :)

So glad that Courtney Williams got some first round love. She will have a long career in the WNBA and will be a good fit in Phoenix. Not a super star, but a really solid player who will up good numbers every year for them.

I'd trade, no disrespect intended, but two Banhams for one Williams.

Geno was doing some hacking and coughing when he got to the arena. I guess that
answers the Geno is sick question. Probably airplane crud. Lots of hugs and handshakes for the UConn families. I hope he is beyond the infectious stage. :)

Biggest non UConn player cheers of the night "UCONN!, HUSKIES! . . . . etc." I don't know if ESPN televised that but there was no doubt - the crowd was all UConn.

We left after the Banham pick. Boring - it's the W!

I don't see Brianna Banks and Michala Johnson in the top 36 draft.
