I think our RPI is also lower than it was this time last year. More importantly, our pitching is nowhere near as reliable.
Every time I want to give up on this team, then about this time of year they turn it on. I just don't know however. The pitching this year is such a mess, way too many free passes and it just doesn't seem to be getting better. If you asked me if they deserve to make the tourney I would say no, but then again I probably have said that the last few years and then I find myself in some southern college town in early June watching a team very much worthy of being in post season baseball. The RPI numbers this year have me confused. To me they have played a much tougher schedule this year then last, plus have great victories over Vandy and UNC and 2 out of 3 on the road at Miami. Vandy just swept Georgia this weekend and Miami has taken the first 2 from Ga Tech so maybe that gives us a bump? I guess its the Big East that is bringing us down, but is it that much worse then any other year? I guess so. I would say the future looks so bright with Freshmen Lane and Rispoli and many other key contributors being under classmen, but in today's portal world you never know. I know I'll keep cheering them on, know I'll get frustrated, but hopefully we can figure this pitching thing out and just maybe we will be playing into June again.Another much needed sweep. This season is reminding me a lot of last season. Slow start, then went on a streak. Last year after 38 games we were 20-18, so we are 1 victory ahead of last year’s record.
The conference RPI bothers me in that we are currently 12th, compared to last year being at 7. Of our last 17 games, only 5 games are vs teams with an RPI of under 100. Also 8 of the games are vs teams with RPI of 195 to 270.
The only thing we can keep on doing is to win the next game. It worked out last year, let’s see if we can do it again.
Go Huskies!!!

The current contract w/ Prasco Park is through 2028.Does anyone know if there are plans to ever move the BET out of Cincy? Just feels like DDP would be an awesome option.

I see RPI 45 and only up one spot despite a sweep of SH, Vandy sweeping UGA, Miami sweeping Ga Tech and UNC now in the top 10. Not looking very good for us to move up if that didn't help much.current record........... season goal

I think (i could be wrong) but it also depends on who drops. (Lower than us to then higher than us)I see RPI 45 and only up one spot despite a sweep of SH, Vandy sweeping UGA, Miami sweeping Ga Tech and UNC now in the top 10. Not looking very good for us to move up if that didn't help much.
This weekend is the last chance we’ll have to make a serious move up.I see RPI 45 and only up one spot despite a sweep of SH, Vandy sweeping UGA, Miami sweeping Ga Tech and UNC now in the top 10. Not looking very good for us to move up if that didn't help much.
Did what we needed to do vs UMass and Army to get our 10th straight win. Now a huge series vs St. John’s. Hoping Pudvar is available.

Unfortunately, the economics of this will keep it here for as long as Prasco wants to host. I dont remember the specifics but the costs are like ridiculously low to the Big East and i think admissions and concessions are even free there. Its on the sight of a science/pharmaceutical company and they give tickets to all their employees and have a kids fun area around it so its well attended in addition to just the teams families.Does anyone know if there are plans to ever move the BET out of Cincy? I somewhat agree. Im really surprised at the at large consideration we received this week.Reality check. It is doubtful that we will be considered for an at-large berth. This weekend's series with St. John's is crucial for BE tourney positioning. Take 2 of 3, move into the #1 or #2 slot. A sweep might (emphasis on "might") put us in position for at-large consideration, but our likely path to the NCAA tourney is through the BE tourney winner's automatic bid.
Should we sneak into a #4 at-large seed, I doubt any #1 would be thrilled to face us.
