Who has had the best off-season so far?

I am pretty sure Taja Cummings is going JUCO or D2/3. I will see if I can figure the school out.

I also caught word (take with grain of salt) that Hicks maybe giving up basketball.

More relevant Q: is she better than the current RU wings? Maybe. Bench? Definitely.

On 3s, the URI transfer Wilson avg 7.5 made a game.

RU had 8 players who avg 17+ mins last year. 5 of them are back, plus Calhoun, the URI transfer, and transfer Guirantes who was pretty highly ranked in HS and is now eligible. And frosh Broughton was top 25 ESPN. That's a pretty good top 9. Six of them will be seniors or GS so they should be mature too.

Of course that means the cupboard is pretty bare after that - CVS needs some big time recruiting for 2019.

I'm sure our NJ friends could provide more colour here.

Rutgers's highest scoring returning player averaged 7.5 ppg last season. Last year's team struggled to score and I look at the roster and see more of the same in the upcoming season.

The URI transfer averaged 7.5 attempted 3-pointers per game; she made 2.5 per game or 30%.
 
In two years at Ohio State, Calhoun made 145 3-pointers at a 37% clip. 58% of her total FG attempts were from 3-pt range.

This seems to be what I call a specialist.

VG, I am a bit confused on the criteria used to rank these arrivals and departures. You're not counting graduation, correct? If you are only considering how the off-season changes affected a team, why wouldn't Miss St. be ranked first under the BEST category? You have Louisville first, and they picked up Diop but lost Zambrotta. Is that better than just picking up Howard and not losing anyone? Do you think Diop is far better than Howard (or that Zambrotta's departure is addition by subtraction)? Or did you account for the graduation of 4 starters from Miss St? Is the acquisition of Rooks (#5 Michigan) better than the acquisition of Howard? Or is it just that you don't believe athletes should wear fake eyelashes on the court? :p
