There is no premise that front offices are telling him to take it easy. The premise is that his circle of advisor is.

It's hard to debate with someone who seems unwilling to listen and absorb arguments. I specifically said that it's fine that someone with a better opportunity leaves. The question is only whether I should be indifferent to whether they work their butt of for me between the time they consider leaving and the time they actually leave, while I'm paying them, or whether they stop coasting. And, by the way, the question is rhetorical. Anyone who pays anyone else's salary wants them to give them all they have while they're being paid.

Am I really the only one who remembers a boneyard where you didn't get into debate on rhetorical questions?
This isn’t a rhetorical debate.
It’s a disagreement on whether your office life is relevant analogy to a 20 year old preparing his body for the NBA draft process.

I guess we agree to disagree on that.

I get that we are all speculating, but this thread has gotten so far off base on this crazy theory that literally has zero basis. The most realistic thing here is that we get him back in the timeframe that we were told, and all this crazy talk about him sitting out will be forgotten.

we are all desperate to get Bouk back, and he will be.

Seriously. Half the board has taken a fake insiders word and run with it. Plus other people speaking for Bouk and his camp. Y’all need to put some respect on Bouk’s name and stop spreading bull.

As coach said - "We'll see him when we see him" .

..... Hopefully soon !!!

LOL. No, I'm looking at this the right way and you're making this up. No one was having a discussion about whether Bouk should play before the doctor clears him (which means he's not taking a risk of further injury), or even if he gets cleared and either is in severe pain or doesn't think he can execute. The discussion was about being able to play but not doing so because the economic analysis was that he had more to loss than to gain.

Of course no GM will look down on him for not playing before he's ready. No one suggested otherwise.

So if a doctor clears him then he is no longer at risk for an injury?

If he wasn’t going to play it would be for this very reason. It would have nothing to do with draft stock. Typically those who do not play tend to slide, not because of attitude but due to other players stocks rising from playing in conference tournaments and the NCAA. You’re really looking at this in a twisted way based on your response. I clearly wasn’t talking about coming back still injured, that was a given.

I’ve been in a the business of running a law firm for over 25 years. Everyone should put their and their family’s interest over that of the firm. That’s fine. But when some people decide it’s time to think about moving on, some give it their all for every day that they’re still at the firm, and others check out and slow down the moment they think it’s time to start thinking about leaving. I repeat — do you think I’m indifferent to which of those two types of employees they are? Do you think a GM is?
Not a good analogy. If Bouk dogs it on the court when he starts playing again then the analogy works. But I can’t see why he’d see any advantage to doing that. How’s that improve his draft stock?

I can’t see him dogging it, but what does concern me and what I could see, is him pumping the brakes a little on his hard drives or shying away from contact. We all saw how he went to the basket at will this season and got annihilated on several occasions but it didn’t stop him from going hard. This injury could be a wake up call for him that maybe it’s not worth to do that as a lottery pick.

I hope I am wrong but the thought keeps crossing my mind.

Agree. I support him taking the full time necessary to heal completely and not come back until he is 100% physically.

If Bouk plays “timid”, protecting his elbow, he isn’t going to be a plus on the court. The team will be better without him if he’s not ready both physically and mentally.

I have faith in him, DH, his family, his handlers that when he comes back he’ll be 100% ready to play full out.

Not too sure about this part. If Bouk's on the floor, it completely changes how the opposing team has to game-plan, and how they defend on the floor.

Is it better to talk softly or to have a big schtick?

Not sure, here at the Boneyard we only have people that speak loudly and have a big schtick.

I can guarantee you I have more information on this subject than you’ll ever have access to. Stop spreading BS that you know nothing about. I have more than 1 inside connection with the program and the target as of right now is to have him try to go for 10-15 mins on 2/6 against Seton Hall. I don’t really care who you are or who you think you are. Shut your mouth if you don’t know what you’re talking about which in this case, you don’t.
Hey buddy, any new inside info? You have been really quiet lately. Find out that you were wrong yet?

I think we will see Bouk return and be his old self. Otherwise, it's in his best interest to not return. If he returns and dogs it, NBA GM's are going to question the health of his elbow and he will slide a little then.

Even if he struggles with his shot some, if he's moving with intent and purpose, GM's will most likely just attribute it to rust, especially in this season.

Has he officially been ruled out for 2/6??? You seem confident. Just curious. I haven't heard a peep about Saturday's game.

There have been all sorts of opinions on this, but when do you think we realistically see Bouk back on the floor? Or are you in the camp that thinks we've seen him in his last game as a husky?
When he is starting in the nba next year.

Clapping hard. Elbow must not be bothered much lol
Funny, I was thinking the same. If you can clap hard you can dribble and shoot. Have you ever tried to clap with an injured elbow? It hurts.

Don't dash my hopes, Danny!
