I’ve found that if you toss a couple of lit M80s close to the top of the roof the snow just slide right off. YMMV 😎

I was all set to fly up from Florida to take care of my mom’s house but she’s 89 and this might bring an end to both the roof and my mom so…

A guy in Milton MA did that trying to use a blowtorch to melt ice in his gutters. Set the soffit on fire and it took off from there.
