I know his final 4 was vacated but what is the comparison between our punishment and his and the violations? Seems like everyone thinks he got away with something without enough punishment. Vacating a final 4 is pretty big it seems. We are being punished for Miles first and now the APR and that's 2 different things.

Technically he didn't get punished though, right? He left both schools in time. He was always "unaware" of any transgressions.

Pretty much this.

Calipari was never found to have done anything wrong and was never punished. The schools he worked for were punished pretty severely though. If Enis Kanter had been found out after the season, last year's FF run could/would have been vacated also.

Could you summarize in a few sentences all of his dirt?

Bad taste? , 2 were vacated. He was not guilty of anything One of my favorite moves was him and Camby going up to the ceremony at UMass for the unveiling of a final four banner even after UMass was forced to vacate. very nice. Made Coach Chaney upset.

Two final fours were vacated.

Calipari has surrounded himself with agents and basketball pimps. That's how he get the kids. That's also why the kids get in trouble.

What is Calipari guilty of? Nothing really, except being the only coach to have two college basketball programs, under his leadership, lose their Final Four banners because of some NCAA rules being broken...and he lands another coaching gig. Kelvin Sampson gets banned. John Calipari gets a new gig.

I pretty much said he has never been found to have done anything wrong.

Anything else is just guess work.

Three of his highest recruits were not eligible. Camby, Rose and Kanter.

Davis has the Chicago Tribune allegation he was paid. There were the allegations that grades were changed for Bledsoe to be eligible.

Of course he has had probably 15 or so star players.

Does any of that reflect on Calipari? Well, it can't be traced directly to him, so no.

Camby was taking gifts from an agent after already being at UMass, not exactly something that benefits Calipari in anyway. Rose cheated to get a better SAT score, I think. Probably set up by his corrupt brother, but I suppose that one benefited Calipari and could be linked to him. With UK, the only thing I think he's guilty of is working around the rules better than anyone else. The sport is far from clean and he's somehow exploiting that better than anyone around. He's certainly savvy enough to not get caught texting a recruit to many times or giving an AAU coach extra tickets, that's for sure.

The Squid has this "acquaintance" William Wesley, AKA World Wide Wes, who takes recruits on plane and limo rides and introduces them to LeBron and other superstars all the while selling the benefits of coming to play for Coach Cal. WWW is now officially an agent, but somehow his contact has never been looked at by the NCAA. Josh Selby spilled the beans about these events a couple of years ago.
The Squid also has his private hatchet-job news organization (Yahoo Sports) who looks to dig up dirt on opponents who might pose a threat to the Squid's team winning. The whole Nate Miles thing was dug up that way and timed to be released right before the NCAAs because Memphis was in UConn's West bracket.
This year, Yahoo Sports saw Syracuse as a potential threat and released the article about drug testing (it is possible that they also had something to do with Fab Melo's suspension but that has never come out).

Incredibly slimy person! Seems like he is covered in Teflon as well, from the NCAA perspective, as they never launch any investigation about this stuff

Yup...left the UMASS program in tatters & went on to a more lucrative position in the NBA...

He really is Squidward...slimy & has his tentacles into all sorts of nasty things. Wouldn't surprise me at all to find out that his propensity to run a dirty program is also happening at UK. A leopard doesn't change his spots & a squid can't change it's sliminess.

Jesus. You gotta leave the trailer and get some fresh air once in a while.

world wide wes. go ahead, look him up.

Among the very few things Calimari and his dingleberries Wes and Wetzel may not have conspired on ... pygmy pornography. Give 'em time, those sneaky little shites will pull that off soon enough.

For starters, he was long gone when UMass and Memphis were humiliated and forced to vacate their Final Four appearances. They certainly paid the price - Cal, not so much. He was off making more money when his former employers were beat down by the NCAA.

Second, I am pretty sure he duck*s puppies.

Cal has never had anything stuck to him, only the schools he used to coach at and left...that is the issue and the flaw.

Squid has mastered three things in life

1) plausible deniability
2) how to abuse the system. The NBA rule making kids go to school for one year made the Squid. Before that rule, he took academically ineligible / challenged kids and was always the big fish in the little pond, following in Tark's footsteps.
3) how to run from trouble
