There are surely more than a few Pats fans (and haters) on here. We should know in the next few weeks what the future holds for Brady, and have a better idea of what's in store for the Patriots. How does everyone think this will play out?

My gut feelings are:
  • I don't see the Cowboys thing playing out
  • Something about the Titans doesn't seem like a fit
  • Maybe the Raiders are the highest probability, with a return to New England 2nd?

He’ll go back to the Patriots because if there is a coach who can keep him alive and upright, it’s Bill Belichick.

I still think he'll end up when is all said and done with the Patriots.

Care to note what that is? Or you mean you have no idea?

Defensive minded coach with whom he’s friends
Decent OLine
Top-flight run game
Done more with worse receivers
Bad division

the only football argument you could make against Tennessee is the argument you’d make against any non-NE team: leaving McDaniels’s system.

And exactly how do you figure the Raiders are now front-runners for Brady?

I think he’d consider LA as a chance to spread the TB12 brand out west. Tenn is a long shot. Probably NE vs LA, 60% NE

This is vastly overstated. He’s already a national brand based on is success and longevity. As far as making more fans, people already either hate or love Brady regardless of their fandom; him coming to someone’s team won’t push jersey sales, or expand his brand, like crazy. And if you’re talking about the Chargers, you are vastly overestimating how many charger fans are in LA lol. 43 year old Brady likely isn’t moving that needle much; many current LA (Rams) fans, even, used to be Raider fans. If I were a Raider fan I’d still hate Brady for what he was gifted in that AFC championship game lol

If they sign Brady won’t be able to afford Henry

Serious question, what's the TB12 brand? I'm assuming it's some brand Brady started, maybe with his wife? Does he sell sneakers like Jordan or is it some fashion thing with his wife?

As of Thursday, here's how the sportsbook machine was sizing it up:

As a result, the sports book is dealing fresh odds on which team (other than the Patriots) he could play for in 2020. The Las Vegas Raiders (+300), Los Angeles Chargers (+300), Tennessee Titans (+700), Indianapolis Colts (+900), Carolina Panthers (+1200), Dallas Cowboys (+1400), Miami Dolphins (+1400), Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+1400), Chicago Bears (+1600) and New Orleans Saints (+1600) are topping the list.

I think the money thing was more a respect thing and/or him forcing NE’s hand. I think he cares about winning #7 more than anything, then money in the situation with NE. I think he would take less, as the top 20 QB he is, in a situation with more weapons around him elsewhere

might Henry take a little less if he knows he has Brady coming? Maybe, less likely

I can't disagree with this, which may actually make Tennesse more probable than I was giving it credit for.

Do you say that largely because of Vrabel?
No. A friend works with someone that played with Brady at Michigan - close enough to get a football signed for my friend. Says it's the Titans.

Staying with the Pats makes so much more sense than any other option. I think he signs a 2 year backloaded deal that gives the Pats money to surround him with some talent. He plays one year, then the Pats take a cap hit in a sacrificial year two as Brady retires.

It's actually the Erhardt-Perkins system installed by Charlie Weiss. McDAniel's learned it when he came through NE. Where ever he goes, they'll probably change the system to suit him however he likes.

Don't see him anywhere but NE tho. This is about Brady having the leverage, control of his own future (as anyone would want), and ensuring they bolster that complete lack of offensive talent last season. I think it comes down more to that last point, than any

Stays with pats. They get one big time receiver - AB comes back? U kno brady loves him and he makes a title push next two years then retires

Depends on the bargaining agreement. Lack of agreement is gonna make it difficult for teams to finagle the cap and back load contracts

He'll continue to be filthy rich, married to a most beautiful woman, still knowing that he is the greatest QB in history and not giving a crap what anyone thinks about him or his decisions
That is where TB will be next year and every year after that

Everyone assumes Belichick even wants him back. I don’t think that’s a given. He is tough to build an offense around, not mobile, and doesn‘t adjust well to new players. I think BB may want to adjust the offense pretty significantly and that means no Brady.

It’s the Patriots, Titans and Chargers as most likely. If Brady isn’t back it’s because Bill wanted to move on. Recent stuff from people supposedly close to this suggests that @huskyinfl is right and the Titans are an option. They need to decide on Tannehill.

Him changing teams would 100% increase Jersey sales.

He can go to LA after he retires to spread TB12. Going 7-9 on a bad Chargers team will hurt his brand. Also, nobody in LA likes the chargers

Funny, my friend who works at inside the nfl says he knows someone close to Brady who says it’s the Raiders.

I think the raiders are a better fit football scheme wise. But tenn could be a legit sb contender if they fix their pass d.

He’s not a running QB but everything else you said regarding him is nonsense. He’s played with one new player after another. He isn’t adept at playing with no talent and winning the Super Bowl. He’s clearly adept at winning 12 games with garbage surrounding him.
