You should have spent more time looking to your left and right. There were few empty seats on the press box side (I sit in 241 so I saw what you did).I was looking perpendicular to the entire sun side sideline stands. There was never a time during the entire game that they were close to half full.
It’s actually unreal10 pages debating about attendance against an FCS opponent?
We are SO back

That would be less than 1/2 full. Certainly looked like more in the first halfAre you claiming that there were only 18,000 spectators inside the stadium?
I did. Sparsely filled. Student section end only place it was well filled although not in the upper level. southwest corner well filled too. All other sections not so much. You should have spent more time looking to your left and right. There were few empty seats on the press box side (I sit in 241 so I saw what you did).
The sun side was well above half full for different stretches, but likely to get out of the sun, it thinned out at different times. There were a ton of people between decks (I still have a huge grievance with the setup that makes it so easy to see the field throughout the concession areas).
Your 18k was shy by about 10k or so.
Nope. Practically nobody was sitting in the chairbacks and like i said the upper deck was maybe half full. I've been there with all the seats full and the attendance was announced 37K. At least 10K empty seats Saturday.I was there and the numbers were definitely more then 30K so your wrong. My eyes are better then your eyes.
And of course those empty seats also parked their cars in the parking lots, which were more filled than they had been in a long time. The real question is of the thousands of attendees who were given tickets by someone, or comped by UConn, how many would have bought a ticket if that was the only way they could have gotten into the game. I bet less than two thirds of the fans in the stadium. Lets see how the crowd is for Ball State to judge the "state" of fandom.
WOW. so happy to see that.View attachment 111362 from section 230 half way through 1st quater
I attended the Stony Brook game a few years ago. I was one of probably 500 Stony Brook fans at the Rent.So what are the estimates and feelings on the CCSU turnout yesterday (and 2022)? How does it compare to other FCS or FBS opponents? Holy Cross, Towson, Stony Brook, or UMass, Liberty, FIU, FAU, etc.?
My take is, with few exceptions, the opponent isn't a huge driver of tickets sold for the away team but Central holds its own for opposing fan support in the crowd.
