What are you binge watching?

I assume you're joking with these posts and throwing around the chauvinism word but I do remember old timers in CT back in the day honestly thinking the undefeated UConn women's basketball team could beat the UConn men's basketball team. The reality is Geno could put together a group of guys on campus who could beat the undefeated women's basketball team.
correct
A guy throwing you around obviously has nothing to do with anything.
speed, training, focused impact
Just going off the physical deficit alone it's unbelievably difficult for women to overcome the strength deficit they're at. That's why there was always much different physical standards. The strength isn't some negligible difference or some 30% or 50% difference you may read somewhere, it's massive.

I've been going to gyms most of my life and between the average male and female lifter you can expect a 100% difference in bench press. That goes for every other upper body lift.
most "normal" men haven't been in weight room most of their lives. I'll stand by my statement that a woman trained in martial arts would have a distinct fighting advantage over most of those guys
There's hardly any women on any elite tactical teams and there's never been a woman Navy Seal.
irrelevant to the point I'm making. It's not about elite vs elite, it's about 'regular guy' vs female with fighting skills
Women are better than men at a lot of things and I wouldn't argue against someone who said women are better than men at most things but this is beyond silly.
see above - the point you're trying to make is not the point I'm trying to make

I said average lifters at gyms, not most "normal" men or women. An average guy going to the gym for the first time is going to max bench press 100% more weight than an average woman going to the gym for the first time will max bench press.

Again, your point about a guy throwing you around has nothing to do with the discussion.

Elite tactical teams has everything to do with the discussion. In real life obviously a woman built like Emily Blunt wouldn't be a door kicker involved with going after cartels.

I'm betting Zoo is not a representative male specimen. Seems soft to me.

ftr, was once clowning around with a guy 8" shorter and 70# lighter than me. He was trying to show me some moves he learned in dojo. He wasnt even at brown belt status. Unfortunately he didn't pull his thrust early enough and tagged me in the solar plexus. I went down in a heap and it took a couple minutes to get wind back.

Im a believer that martial arts training is an equalizer. You've probably seen MMA footage of smaller women taking down larger guys.

I don't get the chauvinism with y'all. Type of stuff you'd usually hear from in-cels.
It’s not chauvinism to acknowledge that women are physically smaller and relatively weaker than men. Years ago, I saw the USA women’s hockey team, which ultimately won the gold medal, play the Choate boys hockey team. The 17-18 year old boys were 6’+ tall and probably had 30-50 pounds on the women. Even though the women were highly skilled, they essentially got run over by the boys.

A 100 lb woman with martial arts training stands a better chance of defending herself against an average sized man but all the man needs to do is wrap her up in a bear hug. Believe me, I’ve had many self defense classes and there’s a good reason #1 on the list of Best Things To Do If Threatened is “run like hell”.

Now, if gold medal winning rugby player Ilona Maher gets attacked by an average guy, my money is on her.

Wow, this has really taken on a life of its own.

What do people think of Gina Carano's movies in this regard? She of course is an actual trained fighter, and she's got a compact build and is clearly more than 100 lbs. I thought she was believable fighting against men in stuff like Haywire and In the Blood.

oddly I've never been thrown around, nor did I mention anything like that in this thread.

You make it difficult to take you seriously when you don't read. If you want to talk elite vs elite, fine, but either you or Zoo went to the universal no regular/normal guy can get taken out by a 100lb woman. And that's simply not true.
