Excuse the poor quality, but this one always comes to mind as the first time I realized a Connecticut basketball team could win something.

Eh, I looked at it as the fuel that propelled us to leapfrogging them.I was asking myself the same thing. That's like a buzz kill.
Over 30 years later? Yeah I don't think that's what did it. Lol. It did make the 1999 championship sweeter though.Eh, I looked at it as the fuel that propelled us to leapfrogging them.
Well it is preserved here for eternity...or until YouTube deletes it.
We’ve been through this with this guy before. He loves Duke. Why TF would you post this in this thread? Good Lord
Good or bad,the greatest photos in UConn history. We’ve been through this with this guy before. He loves Duke.

Gets away with it???The guy's a troll. His goal is to pizz off as many posters as possible.
The fact that he gets away with it doesn't make it worthy of even a basic level of respect.
Always love the UCF cheerleader, staring up at Paige. I'm not sure if it's admiration or terror on her face.
"Perno stole the ball! Perno stole the ball!"This is an absolute classic after UConn beat Bill Bradley and Princeton in the 1964 NCAAs.

I don't think I made my point clear enough. That loss to Duke definitely fueled that "bridesmaid and never the bride" fire that eventually culminated in the 1999 title. That 99 title had the momentum behind it to prove we weren't a one time fluke. It was a huge part of the origin story of where we are now.Over 30 years later? Yeah I don't think that's what did it. Lol. It did make the 1999 championship sweeter though.
Also love that there is a Paige clone in the picture.Always love the UCF cheerleader, staring up at Paige. I'm not sure if it's admiration or terror on her face.
