The Colorado and Seton Hall losses have been brutal to our resume. Would already be a lock if we won both, which we had the game in hand in both situations. Lose at PC or, heaven forbid, home to GTown or SH and it’s sweat time.

My thought process is television dictates we are in. Good for ratings to see a team technically going for 3peat vs Duke Saturday night

In a clear tie breaker situation I do think we get benefit of the doubt. I’m hoping we avoid that.

I think the worst we can afford to go is 2-2 the rest of the way and a first round exit in the big east tourney(2-3) —-anything worse than that and were gonna be sweating it out. On the flipside if we win our next four games and get to the big east semis or even the final, I think the potential is there for us to be a five or six— maybe if all breaks right -a 4 seed. It shouldn’t take much 4-1 the rest of way- for us to get off that 8/9 game. Don’t want see a 1 seed in second round.
Winning out and winning the BET definitely puts a 5 seed in play (don’t see any world where we could get on the 4 line.) Unfortunately, I just don’t feel confident in this team getting anywhere close to that seed with the way they are playing now. But crazier things have happened….

Go 2-2 and we are definitely in, at most likely an 8 or 9 spot, before the Big East Tournament begins.

This will be PCs Super Bowl. They’d love nothing more than a season consolation prize of putting us on the bubble.
After the Seton Hall debacle I can't pencil any game as a sure win. I normally never do that anyways, but Seton Hall I thought I could as an exception. That game still annoys me as well as the Colorado loss, where I left the Lahaina Civic Center thinking, WTF?! When I attended the semis between Memphis and Michigan State later that afternoon, I talked to some random fans and told them UConn lost to Colorado earlier that morning, and they all stated they were surprised by the result because they and myself saw Michigan State run Colorado out of the gym the prior day.

You are probably correct. But let's not let it get to that. UConn just win and remove all doubt.

3-1 and we’re in but a win or 2 in the BE tourney could get us outta 8-9.

2-2 better win at least one in the BE tourney so we can sleep.
See this is what we need to do. We need to get to a 7 seed ideally… It’ll still be tough to make the Sweet 16, but it’s a lot more manageable.

We “should be in” according to this article. They seem to agree that we need one more win to solidify it though.
how about getting 3 more wins to end the regular season and removing all doubt?

I have not read the entire article, but one interesting thing to note is under the "Movement" section and the category "Down to in the mix", which is another way of saying the bubble, you have Gonzaga and Baylor, two teams UConn defeated in that string of 3 OOC games before BE play. Winning those games were good solid resume builders, but not exactly the big impact we thought they would be at the time of the wins and that we are hoping for.

As long as we beat Seton Hall I think.
One more win likely caps us at the 11. 2 more almost locks us in. There are a lot of bad at large teams at the 11 line we’d have to blow up to fall behind.

I have to ask - pure curiosity, zero insinuations - do you ever take a rest from this website? You seem to be on all day and night. Not judging at all. Enjoy your input. Just wondering that's all RuffRuff :p

The bubble is terrible. We are probably 1 or 2 wins away from being a lock.

Win out, get hot, its March and anything can happen.

Oh I’ll be off it once season over and the weather gets nice - Huskies are one of the only ways to get through the winter in corp America ;). Been particularly invested this season given the 3peat thing. Your note does remind me that I feel more balanced when I get banned for a few days, lol.

We have 4 Q1A wins. Look at the bubble this year. It's full of near .500 teams with 1 or 2 Quad1 wins. We are safely a 9 seed right now
Our resume is really schizophrenic, with road wins at Creighton, Marquette, and Texas, and a neutral win over analytics darling Gonzaga, but also losses to Seton Hall and Colorado.

I actually have no idea how the Committee will view us. Do they reward consistency or a high ceiling?

Good points. Also, do they take into consideration that we were without Liam for several games?
