After the Seton Hall debacle I can't pencil any game as a sure win. I normally never do that anyways, but Seton Hall I thought I could as an exception. That game still annoys me as well as the Colorado loss, where I left the Lahaina Civic Center thinking, WTF?! When I attended the semis between Memphis and Michigan State later that afternoon, I talked to some random fans and told them UConn lost to Colorado earlier that morning, and they all stated they were surprised by the result because they and myself saw Michigan State run Colorado out of the gym the prior day. This will be PCs Super Bowl. They’d love nothing more than a season consolation prize of putting us on the bubble.
You are probably correct. But let's not let it get to that. UConn just win and remove all doubt. My thought process is television dictates we are in. Good for ratings to see a team technically going for 3peat vs Duke Saturday night
See this is what we need to do. We need to get to a 7 seed ideally… It’ll still be tough to make the Sweet 16, but it’s a lot more manageable.3-1 and we’re in but a win or 2 in the BE tourney could get us outta 8-9.
2-2 better win at least one in the BE tourney so we can sleep.
A 10 seed would be essentially the same path just with a tougher opening opponent (barely)See this is what we need to do. We need to get to a 7 seed ideally… It’ll still be tough to make the Sweet 16, but it’s a lot more manageable.
After the Marquette game we’ll know what direction to be hoping for.A 10 seed would be essentially the same path just with a tougher opening opponent (barely)
As long as we beat Seton Hall I think. So are we in yet? Some think so…I’d like at least one more win to say yes

how about getting 3 more wins to end the regular season and removing all doubt? We “should be in” according to this article. They seem to agree that we need one more win to solidify it though.![]()

One more win likely caps us at the 11. 2 more almost locks us in. There are a lot of bad at large teams at the 11 line we’d have to blow up to fall behind. As long as we beat Seton Hall I think.
I have to ask - pure curiosity, zero insinuations - do you ever take a rest from this website? You seem to be on all day and night. Not judging at all. Enjoy your input. . Been particularly invested this season given the 3peat thing. Your note does remind me that I feel more balanced when I get banned for a few days, lol.Our resume is really schizophrenic, with road wins at Creighton, Marquette, and Texas, and a neutral win over analytics darling Gonzaga, but also losses to Seton Hall and Colorado. We have 4 Q1A wins. Look at the bubble this year. It's full of near .500 teams with 1 or 2 Quad1 wins. We are safely a 9 seed right now
Good points. Also, do they take into consideration that we were without Liam for several games? Our resume is really schizophrenic, with road wins at Creighton, Marquette, and Texas, and a neutral win over analytics darling Gonzaga, but also losses to Seton Hall and Colorado.
I actually have no idea how the Committee will view us. Do they reward consistency or a high ceiling?

Yes, they do consider the full body of work, major injuries (e.g., a starter) will be considered.Good points. Also, do they take into consideration that we were without Liam for several games?
Which means we’re an 11I still think the committee will avoid putting us on the 8/9 line as a way to protect the 1-seed.

Funny, I asked something similar a few months ago. For the first 13 years of him being on here he had about 600 posts. Since this past October he's had about 2,500, or about 17 per day. It's all good @RuffRuff. I love your contributions to the board. Keep it up. I just like to bust on you.![]()
It’s a strange situation but you’re right. 1-3 may get us a 10 seed, an 11 seed in Dayton, or seriously sweating bid stealers. But I don’t think we play out of the 8/9 game unless we win out and make a run at MSGI wouldn’t wanna lose 4 straight here. But I think 1-3 does the trick. Maybe you sweat a little depending on bid stealers and adding another bad loss or two to the resume.
Think finishing 1-3 avoids the 8/9 game as a silver lining
Thanks RuffRuff all is good - you do add much to this site - Keep it up!!!!Oh I’ll be off it once season over and the weather gets nice - Huskies are one of the only ways to get through the winter in corp America.
