As things play out with Solo and Braylon I am shifting my question on what we need to finish roster construction. What do you guys thing about getting a power forward who can fill in at center or vis a versa or a dedicated power forward or center. And names come to mind?

If Solo and Braylon come back, they will cost a lot. Having spent good $ at the 4 and the 5, you essentially need backup 5 right now or a combo backup 4/5. Since Landrew has the strength, he can play 10+ minutes at the backup 4.

So the next needs are a backup 5, and an emergency 5. And either a backup PG or an emergency PG.

I would like a more athletic 4 who could play the 5 alsp and then a 5 that can give us 5 fouls and is tall. Lol!

I still think both bray and solo come back. I know they are somewhat redundant, but with even some modest shooting regression to the mean we could be looking at a lethal combo. If they improve significantly, watch out.

In terms of new players, backup G/ball handler, rotation big (4/5) and then some depth that won’t play much.

Mullins is priority #1, but after that, we need a backup pg who can play defense and a backup center who can play defense. Then some practice players.

I would like to have a real 4. Someone who is 6’9” can rebound and is big enough to play the 5. Then we could rotate the rest of the three positions and match up better regardless if our opponent is a big team or more of a wing oriented team kind if like we have been with AK.

Gives Hurley more options in game.

Sorry @3rdbass did not read your post b4 I posted. Clearly I agree with you.

I'm guessing the plan (should Mullins and Ball come back) is to get Landrew minutes through PT at the 4. Ball, Mullins, and Ross with some Demary tossed in will readily take up 80 minutes at the 2 and 3.

That leaves backup center.

Yeah, so clearly the move is a veteran PG that’s willing to play limited minutes, and a veteran C that should be around 18 mpg.

As long as Solo is back we have the most stacked roster in the nation as of today.
Honestly I think for my wish list would be a backup center who can play 10 minutes a game, 1 dept big who wont play unless their are injuries/foul trouble, and a solid backup pg for 10 minutes a game. I think we are locked and loaded on starters and are super deep at the 2,3,4

Agreed. Although I see Hines as more of a 24mpg guy this year based on Hurleys love for a two headed monster.

County has real potential as a ball handler, and with Mullins, Ball, Demary on the roster, we may be looking for a grad transfer PG for emergency situations.

I would say a backup 5, since with Ross and Landrew we have 2 guys capable of backing up the forward spots. I'm not sure I would want either at the 4 for substantial minutes, but at least they can fill in if need be. We have absolutely no one to back up Hines as things currently stand

A lot of people looking for another 4, but here’s how it looks-

G Silas
G Solo
G Mullins
F Khamenia
C Hines

F Ross
F Landrew
C Transfer
G County
G Transfer

We don’t need a PF. This isn’t the NBA, Ross is that PF y’all are looking for.

Backup Center.
Supplemental PG.
Hail Mary internationals/emergency vets.

Natty.

We need a player who can play the 4 or 5. That gives us the most options with the current roster. But something tells me we still have a few moves that are in the works. And it is like dominos they all end up impacting more than one player.
