Week 8 preview (Dec. 27–Jan. 2)

15 games featuring top 25 today and so far only 2 cancelled
Hope that holds!

The 13 games feature 17 ranked teams

Looks like Louisville vs Georgia Tech game is off. Nope, wrong info. GT has only seven players available.

One of the ugliest games I’ve seen in a while. Gets even uglier knowing we lost to both teams
Emily should have transferred to Uconn, Breanna made a mistake, telling her to go to Louisville. They are a bad offensive team.

.-.
Duke ND the unique game where offenses look competent 33-31
Duke with 3+ left in 2Q Lexi Gordon looking good 12 pts 2-5 from 3 (5-8 overall)

Duke ND best game of the day. Duke Wins 72-70 Duke with ND not able to make decent looks on last possession. Balogun was great. Miles has so much talent but decision making needs to get better. Don't know why Citron is not called on more

How do you evaluate Maryland? They are 1-4 against top 10 opponents, and their only top 10 win just lost to an unranked opponent.

As I've said on the Maryland boards, this is not the same team as last season. Bibby and Collins play has fallen off significantly. Owusu is not playing at an All American level. Looks like they lost Faith Masonius with a knee injury. Hard to see them getting past the Sweet 16 with the way they are playing.

They did just go to OT on the road ...

South Carolina has 5 offensive boards on 6 misses in the first quarter. lol

It's a tricky situation evaluating MD this season. When you look at the BAY game Diamond Miller played 11min and left because reaggravating her knee injury in a win. The STAN and NCST games they were without Diamond, Faith Masonius, and Katie Benzan without sufficient practice time to prepare for those opponents. They also pushed SC until that last two min of the game without Diamond. The Indiana game was Diamonds first game back and the cohesion was not there yet and they still pushed then to overtime in at their house. We will find out a lot in tonight's game vs Michigan.
