Gonzaga is cruising, up 38-19 at the half against, as someone would say, the real USF. The Truong twins are going off, the starter has 12 pts/5 assists and the other has 7 off the bench. They only average about 11 pts/game combined coming into this one.

edit--ESPN was lagging way behind, now 45-24 about midway thru Q3. They took points away from one twin but now they have 17 and 5, still way above their combined average.

Zags win 76-52. Strange game, only 1 starter in double figures. Leading scorers Jenn Wirth and Townsend didn't really get going. 1 more in double figures off the bench. 12 players scored, 13 logged minutes.

Drake got off to a rough start but is 4-1 in conference and drilling Indiana St. just before halftime.

A upset is brewing over in High Point. Gardner Webb leads 30-24 at the half... HPU has 18 turnovers at the half. If the Panthers are trying to get ranked.... they better turn this around.

In maybe the battle of the bottom 2 teams in Florida, Florida Atlantic and Florida International are dueling it out for the second day in a row. FAU took the first. I have a tiny mild interest in them because Russian juco transfer Rita Pleskevich left Washington after 1 year and landed at FAU, where's she's been quite a bit more productive than she was in the Pac 12.

Nicholls suffers a bad 56-42 loss to Central Arkansas that might do serious harm to its hopes of claiming the regular season crown.

Another day, another Big South barnburner. Campbell led Presbyterian 58-57 in the closing seconds, PC drove into the lane for a layup and was fouled with less than 3 seconds to go. Player missed two free throws.. but PC got the rebound and was fouled. Player missed the first free throw.. and made the second. All tied up 58-58. 1.7 seconds left on the clock. The Camels inbound the ball.. and #23 was fouled with 1.0 seconds left. The Camels were not in the bonus so they inbounded the ball again... and PC fouled with shooter with 0.7 seconds left. The Camel player made the first.. and missed the second on purpose. PC got the rebound and called a timeout with 0.4 seconds left. They drew up a good inbound play.. but the player missed the shot at the buzzer. The Camels escape and get the sweep.. 59-58.

Grand Canyon's rematch with the Aggies is not going well. 26-21 at the half as New Mexico State really is demonstrating a punishing defense. Their guard Echols had an amazing second quarter lighting it up ( 6 for 6) with 14 points and the Lopes are back on their heels.

The Aggies are again making things miserable for freshman center Katie Scott. She has one point at the half and the collapsing defense has made it virtually impossible for her to get touches

The Lopes close to 41-40 at the end of the third quarter. Little used Canadian Tavia Rowell comes off the bench to hit 16 points and keep the Lopes close.

Lopes earn the split with New Mexico State 61-52 with a strong fourth quarter. They hold the Aggies scoreless for six minutes and turn them over 25 times.

Freshman Katie Scott has a solid second half and comes close to another double double with 13 points and 9 boards.

Since Washington is on covid shutdown, USC managed to squeeze a game against UC Riverside into their schedule today to replace the opening left by the Huskies. Today at 3 West Coast time.

Somebody is going to get their first SEC win today. 0-5 Florida is jumping all over 0-3 Auburn, up 35-17.

Then, I would say it would be Florida.

I actually think Florida is much improved and has had many close games. Yes, Briggs is the primary reason but if Cam can continue to get recruits, this team could climb into the middle tier. Frankly, Austin should have picked this school over Ole Miss as I do think Cam knows his x's and o's where as Coach Yo...is alphabetically challenged...

Cal @ Utah is showing as postponed on the Pac 12 website.

edit--and ESPN

no details, I'm assuming covid related, Utah sure could've used this as a pick me up game

Not exactly the most eagerly awaited game on the schedule today, but worth a "yikes" nonetheless.

This season is such a mess. :(

Yeah, Florida definitely seems to be on the upswing this year, but remains to be seen how much of an upswing it is. It feels like Cam has been there for a while, but only 4 years...which just means that I'm getting old or my memory is just used to Florida being mediocre for a while.

#16 USF game is cancelled. Memphis cancelled the game and is choosing not to play over health and safety concerns. But Memphis' game on Wednesday with Cincinnati is still on.

That's too bad. Do they have any incentive to come back? This year has been absolutely miserable for them. Other than getting experience for the young players, doesn't seem to be much to be gained.

Wake has cut the Virginia Tech lead to 47-45...but Gina Conti just picked up her 4th foul. And we're not to the 4th quarter yet.
